Hi! 👋 This is the shiny new Bluesky account for sp-studio.de. Since 2002 you can create your own cartoon characters there, and I'm sure you've already seen some of them as profile pictures. Here you will be informed about updates & contests, can share feedback and I will help with any questions. 🙂

sp-studio.de UPDATE: Animal shirt motifs! 🦝 🦊 🐻 🐰 🐸 🦉 While I was drawing music related shirt motifs for the last update I felt like there is potential for a second update like this. This time it’s a collection of six cute forest animals. You can recolor them and combine them with any clothes.

And I can already announce another update planned for the end of this month… which might be related to a certain holiday. I hope you like horror films as much as I do. 👀

A problem with the download button is solved now. During the past month it was causing errors on iPhones when trying to save an SP-Studio picture. Thanks to @lgk.io for fixing it!

sp-studio.de UPDATE: Wear your taste in music on your skin! 🎶 I finally finished 8 new shirt motifs I wanted to draw for a long time. Each of these designs represents a music genre and you can customize them by changing the colors and shading. You can combine them with any shirt.

Many years ago there were band shirts in the SP-Studio, but I removed them because they were proteced by copyright. Another problem was that as soon as I added 2 musicians I was asked for 100 others. There are just too many. With focusing on genres I can bring back music shirts in a better way. 🎸

Congratulations to the winners of the WATER contest! 🏆 I loved the artistic variety in this top5 and could have imagined any one of these pictures winning. But in the end Alexander defended his winning streak. Visit the contest page: www.sp-studio.de/w/contests/

sp-studio.de UPDATE: Nine new hairstyles inspired by Stardew Valley! 🌟 This is a tribute to one of my favorite video games of all time, because it recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. Many thanks to @ericbarone.bsky.social for creating such a charming world full of memorable characters!

My drawings were inspired by Leah, Shane, Maru, Sebastian, Sam, Abigail, Emily, Penny and Pierre. I couldn’t include every fan favorite, but I tried to choose interesting hairstyles for the SP-Studio that are practical additions for everybody and not just for those who have played Stardew Valley.

The Christmas Special is over, and I hope everybody found something to enjoy! 🙂 Which of the 24 surprises was your favorite? I am very happy that I managed to get back to monthly updates in the second half of this year. Many thanks to everyone who encouraged me! I wish you the best! Happy holidays!

sp-studio.de Christmas Special - Day 23: Catching a cold is easier than catching an insect during winter. At least were I live. But this new butterfly net can still be useful! Maybe you'll catch the three ghosts of Christmas?

sp-studio.de Christmas Special - Day 21: Today's surprise is an abstract background in the style of anime speed lines! You can select two colors for it and deactivate the shading if you prefer it a bit calmer.

sp-studio.de Christmas Special - Day 20: For all aspiring witches, there is a cauldron hidden behind this door of the Advent calendar! Be careful what you're brewing with it. ☠️ Sorry for the delay with this update, it was my last day before my Christmas vacation and I had to work late.

SP-Studio

sp-studio.de Christmas Special - actual day 20: From now on you can get more creative with the eyes! 👀 I was often asked about new options for strabismus or heterochromia. With these single pupils you can customize the color and position of the eyes of your characters in any way you want.

sp-studio.de Christmas Special - Day 17: Two bodies with skin conditions were added today! I was asked about representation for Vitiligo and other pigmentation disorders for a long time. The difficult thing about including this was that every variation looks different, but I hope it's a good start.

sp-studio.de Christmas Special - Day 16: Do you feel like setting something on fire today? This portable campfire will keep your SP-Studio characters warm from now on. 🔥 By the way: This was the item I accidentally deleted yesterday.

sp-studio.de Christmas Special - Day 15: A bubble of bubblegum! 🫧 This rather simple-to-draw request from the SP-Studio community was chosen for today because I accidentally deleted the item I had originally planned, after already spending over an hour working on it... 😓
