Films, TV, (most) music, and tech. Ex RPG (not role playing games) developer (contractor), currently NHS (permie), counting down to retirement. Laughing, not crying. Can't decide if there's a huge political conspiracy, or if politicians are all just shite.

I'm all for lessons being learnt out of the #Covid #Enquiry, but how about some lessons get taught too, #Hancock, #Gove, and #Johnson spring to mind. Politicians need to realise that they will be held responsible for their actions and lies. Won't fucking happen though will it.

The latest #Starlink news is an extreme example of the 'terms and conditions may change' risks of services you don't own. Sovereign states should not rely on 3rd party suppliers with dodgy morals. I can see F-16 weapon systems and patriot missiles shutting down in the near future.

Over the last 2 days, I've watched #Fall2 and #TeenageSexAndDeathAtCampMiasma and enjoyed both. Fall2 had more than enough moments to make me very twitchy (I hate heights) indeed, but not quite as many as the original. Teenage sex blah blah blah I just let wash over me and I enjoyed its playfullness

Two #movies to watch today, #Fall2 and and #Onslaught I enjoyed both of the 'prequels' so have high hopes. Also got a #book to finish, Biological War: A Scenario. I 'enjoyed' the nuclear war book, so hopefully this provides more much needed comfort in these troubling times 🫣

So #Onslaught wasn't very good, the super soldiers lacked something. #BiologicalWar was scary as hell, as a very worst case scenario. #Fall2 will have to wait until tomorrow, I want to watch it on the projector and I have the house to myself tomorrow. Fall really got to me due to my fear of heights

If the Tories build 50,000 prison spaces and then fill them at £50k per prisoner per year, then that's £2.5bn they need to find. Plus, the one-off cost of building the prisons. Magic money tree, efficiency savings, or welfare cuts?

If #ManCity are willing to drag their case through the courts to avoid possible expulsion, then maybe the other clubs form a new league and don't invite them. "Sorry lads, it's no Manchsters, and we already have United."

Why don't the #LibDems or maybe a new party, run on a three step manifesto. 1. They will introduce proportional representation 2. They will they then dissolve government 3. They will fight the new election on a rejoin the EU basis. Call the country's bluff. See if they really want these things.

Tonight's film WAS #Buddy A decent effort #Horror, definitely a mind-messer rather than a stomach-churner, but fun for it. There seemed to be a lot of lore packed in towards the end, so a sequel/prequel could be interesting. Or we could fill in the gaps ourselves, which can be fun. 7.5/10

Aww, #CoyoteVsAcme wasn't as good as I'd hoped. It just didn't paint a coherent cartoon/human world and had too many characters in poorly cast or wasted roles. It had the odd good gag (I sthought I thaw), but was only slightly better than #ToxicAvenger which went through similar tribulations. 5/10

So, there was a guy on #Pointless, and he said his job was a computer programmer. The host then asked him what he liked to do in his spare time, and he said .... Astronomy. I don't think he was a computer programmer at all or his answer would have been ... Program computers.

I'm no political scholar and definitely not a US one, but if you wanted to destroy the USA, how many people would you have to buy off? Seems that ~500 would get you a President and the other democratic institutions required. Could you do it for $100bn? It does feel like someone is trying.
