I still haven’t received a cease and desist letter from @furfest.org’s safety dept yet and this thought makes me so happy — because it reminds me there is still so much fursuit life to live and plenty of time to live it :)

I haven’t been here as long as one would think and I feel like I did the entire “gauntlet” really fast and circling back to fursuiting in the next blink… Like why work for staff when you can just unclip a staff badge from a stunned random staff member and run off at top speed in suit anyway?

Why does everything have to be the choice between really good fox and really bad fox anyway. Oh, no, that wasn’t really a question…. Just commiserating out loud!

Oh furries, fursuiting! Should be able to do that pretty low key as a hobby, make a few friends, nbd. Yup. That’s what happened. Made quite a few good friends, did some low key suiting, enjoyed self. Went home. The end.

@phor.bsky.social meeting you so early on wasn’t even normal *laughs* “hey isn’t that the guy who dances like a fiend and almost knocked someone out with a flying shoe?” Not long after were agreeing on how many need to be knocked out with more than a flying shoe. …I was good quick with this tho…

The pretty coyote sleeping in the bed right next to me would probably already be an overwhelmingly 1/1,000,000 thing to happen in this fandom. Everything that has happened since I got here has been a double sevens dice roll…. the fucking die only has six sides!! What is happening

Dear @FuzzyFin, On behalf of the unofficial Department of Former PR Directors with free time, I am opening a formal investigation into your third election to MFF Chair. Initial findings suggest you may be popular, competent, and good at your job. We are treating these allegations very seriously.

The board of Midwest Furry Fandom is happy to announce that FuzzyFin will be staying on as chair for Midwest Furry Fandom 2027. Her dedication and hard work over the last two years is very appreciated, and we look forward to great things in the coming year! 🦝

Tips: Sleeping in the lobby is acceptable if you can’t get a room. Fursuiting starts officially on the Tuesday before the con. Do not stand on the elevator rails unless you can do it on one foot. The yellow black hatch area is a designated hang out zone. If you believe any of this, I hate you.

‼️TODAY'S THE DAY. ‼️ The 2026 Midwest FurFest Room Lottery ends TONIGHT at 11:59 PM CDT! Be sure to register and get your entry in if you'd like a room in Midwest FurFest's room blocks. Results will be sent out no later than 11:59 PM CDT Sept 14. ow.ly/se2O50ZIVtY

I’m pretty sure I slept great because feel freaking foxtastic today…wtf has been different lately…? I have been drinking coffee this week…shit @rhapsodybarks.com has been making the coffee… WHAT are you putting in this coffee *sniffs cup* Yesterday I didn’t have it and was itching all over…

Who knows about DINN power supplies? This is box for external POE cameras, so a POE switch on bottom shelf, upper left is the power supply, surge protection on the camera lines… but something seems sketchy to me to just plug the DINN directly to 120 AC (winging it, weigh in before I start a fire).

Reason for the DINN, is I didn’t want to use the power brick that came with the switch (DINN is properly voltage matched), because those things will die in heat quickly…) But again, winging it, never done this, just seemed like a better way in my head…

Ok.. 🏳️🏳️🏳️ I will migrate to Bsky over the next while. No, not likely for any reason people are going to tag this with. *lays down* It’s my friends. I don’t need supplementary reasons to tip that scale, that one is what matters to me. Better late than never :)

There are friendships I have in this fandom that will never end. The people you might not see for a decade, but when you do, nothing has changed… not even getting tackled into the floor as the standard hello. *note to self, 2027, make up for lost time like it’s your last year on the planet.

I feel people have questions they are afraid to ask. I am an open book. We may not agree on all, but def most. Comments, concerns, genuine questions — I owe that to those that have real concerns given positions I’ve held in our fandom. Verify deeply. 1: I am not a Mountie. Someone drew gift art.

So funny when as a mutual headnod you follow someone and they follow you back, all over something trivial like “yeah you get it…”

Bark! Playing a Mal is kinda hard. I mean, I can just bite my friends and be distrusting of strangers? Can we get decoys at cons for fursuiters to chomp on?

Ha I better not say that. I uh, I mean yeah, this sure isn’t trying to plant that smart creative people buy Nikon, just like using the word volunteers along with bad news doesn’t make yelling at the con on social media less palatable.

Wasn’t born when this one came out, but I’m immediately seeing that manipulation in ads was just as much a thing then as now. Lots of appeal to identity/self-image. (It was important in that era to be seen as creative). Problem solving framing. Price anchoring. Lots of vague, positive claims lol

Pilot and I are off early this morning so he can bite a professional decoy…in the rain… not because I’m crazy or dumb, but because he didn’t have a choice who took him home — I did. Remember that. Your dog didn’t choose you, you chose them. Don’t let them down.

If you know someone that needs to hear this, share it. Tired of people coming at me with anxiety and behaviour issues with “you’re lucky you’re dogs are so good” — it’s not luck. It’s work. Being a good handler is a skill and I’m always working on it.
