i liked a single bird picture once on this website and my feed has been almost nothing but pictures of birds ever since. not even good ones. just a random picture someone took on their phone. is this website ever going to get remotely interesting?

#GOP when a pandemic killed 1.2 million Americans: masks are bad. vaccines aren't safe. social distancing is tyranny. #GOP when fentanyl kills 100k Americans*: due process will be suspended, report your neighbors, checks and balances must end, speaking spanish is probable cause, gulags are good

* #GOP when those 100k Americans look for help getting clean: no handouts, food-stamps canceled, criminalize alternates like thc, treat them like criminals undeserving of help

i love when recruiters say they came across my resume online, then precede to tell me I'd be a great fit for a job that's literally 300 miles away from the location listed in my resume, and the position is hardly relevant to the experience listed on it. recruiters are very lazy people

it's really sad watching all the incels and losers cry CONSTANTLY about Bella Ramseys casting in #TheLastOfUs it's a video game, and it's a TV show, neither of which involve you directly in any way whatsoever. you are a willing spectator. get a fucking life.

every day at about 1pm i check the mail. i take any advertisements that are in there, then I go look at their nearest location on google and leave 1 star reviews. it's a ritual of mine at this point. if you advertise directly to my house without my consent, fuck you and your business.

movie studios should make entire versions of their movies but use all the worst takes. the same scenes, same everything, just the worst version of every single scene. that'd be kinda fun

dear #nintendo. console = 250 dollars including 2 games, games = 30 dollars digital, 40 dollars physical tbh even then i probably wouldn't buy it. subscription based online play is stupid.

it looks like every single job that #google lists if you search "jobs near me" actually link directly to actual employment scam websites that's pretty cool

phone scams stole 25 billion dollars from the us economy in 2023. personally, i get probably 5-10 scam calls per week it's really annoying that our government is trying to do {insert very stupid thing} instead of going after these scammers. it'd be such an easy political win.

"I really don't want to vote to pass this particular thing, and all of my constituents also don't want me to vote to pass it, but if I don't pass it, the consequences of this administration will become blatantly apparent resulting in the mobilization needed to fix the problem!" - #Democrats

"A group of evil dictators are currently in charge, destroying us with no regard for law or the constitution. It's clear that the only way we can win such a situation is by following the rules to a T. This is why I am announcing I am submitting a formal, written complaint" - #Democrats

#T-Mobile, a corporation who grew revenues by 14% (5.5B) last year, sent me a text message saying they have to increase the price of my cell phone plan by 10 dollars a month due to "rising costs". In directly related news, for the first time in 20 years, I'm switching my cell provider tomorrow.

Since #Republicans have turned into #Russians, I'm still waiting for #Democrats to turn into #Americans. It's pretty annoying that so far all they muster is "Politician" I mean everybody hates politicians right? Seems like a pretty stupid strategy. Par for the course though, I suppose.

i wonder how long it'll be before drones carrying PA speakers are flying overhead, reminding us that we can save big money at menards, or that we can drive home in a new kia for zero down, or whatever

how #marketing works on me: #RyanReynolds has become "that mint mobile guy" to me, and I no longer give a shit about seeing his movies when I used to really enjoy his acting.

Dear #Microsoft. Today, for no reason at all, you decided to change my lock screen on #Windows10 to show #Widgets such as weather, sports, "wonder of the day", and stocks. That is a perfect example of why you'll never, ever, ever get a penny from me again. Fuck you, #Microsoft.

When you're at the register and the say: "Would you like to round up to help local schools?" What they mean is: "Our corporation wants to use YOUR money as a tax deduction. We don't actually give a shit about the charity, we just want to use your money to reduce our tax burden."

Democrats are so funny. They say things like "my friend from across the Isle" and "the gentleman from State" when talking about someone who would happily send millions of people into concentration camps over paperwork.

Super disappointing move from #Google. I'll be looking for alternatives to any product of yours I use moving forward, including what phones and devices I get next

Prediction: within three months, Fox will be making the argument that 'since DOGE isn't the government, Elon should be allowed to read your data/email/bank info/social media/videogame inventory/etc without a permit'.

Ever notice the #2A people are always talking about needing an AR15 to defend their family, but they never talk about AED's, or emergency medical training? An AED and medical knowledge & training is SIGNIFICANTLY more likely to save a loved one than the firefight you're imagining yourself winning

I know a dozen firearm owners who buy into the "protecting my family" justification. two have had heart attacks before. none own an AED. Each of them spends hundreds per year on guns/ammo/shooting/related. None of them have ever gone to any kind of medical training program.

they all truly believe it plausible that they might someday be in some kind of John Wick situation where an assault rifle is the only solution, and somehow think that scenario is more likely than someone having a heart attack in their home. Not a single one would be effective in either situation.

it's ironic that people look at #BlueSky as if it's very use was an act of #resistance against #fascism. If Jack Dorsey didn't sell Twitter to Elon, Kamala probably would have won, and Elon wouldn't be all up in our business. You're celebrating a website owned by the guy who sold America for 44B

Just like if the Dorsey-owned Twitter had just banned Trumps account when Trump repeatedly broke the rules regarding the Birtherism thing, Trump would have never rose to prominence in American politics. But no, the publicity was too good. Birtherism made tens of thousands of new users. No bans.

new symptom: my 1 month old #Razer #Chroma #Ornata v3 not only double-strikes keys regularly making it impossible to use for actual typing, but also sometimes, for no reason at all, it just repeats the M key as if i was holding it down. How the fuck is it that hard to make a keyboard that works?

i think i'm gonna just start sending literal actual garbage in the mail to company that send me marketing material like "thanks for the credit card offer. might i interest you in a Doritos bag containing four soda can tabs, a salt & pepper packet, a plastic fork, and a balled-up piece of tape?"

IL Senator Andrew S Chesney keeps sending me mailers talking about his accomplishments. He talked about a bill for turkey hunting that he helped pass "despite IL being anti-second amendment" The bill he mentioned was introduced by a Democrat, and passed UNANIMOUSLY in a majority Democrat state gov

i was applying for a job at #PepsiCo until i saw the privacy policy that said: "I consent to HireVue's processing of my Personal Data, including without limitation sensitive data or the use of recordings, the use of artificial intelligence or automated decision making" i am no longer applying.

While I love #Excel, I just canceled my subscription for #MicrosoftOffice. Microsoft's last income statement showed their net income was 16 billion dollars more in 2024 than in 2023, so why did they need to almost doubled the price of my subscription? Ah - right. For the #shareholders
