A thing that I see asserted frequently in spaces focused on estranged adult children is that people are significantly more supportive of ending relationships with abusive partners than they are of ending relationships with abusive parents, but that hasn't been my experience...

When my abusive ex and I broke up, so many people wanted me to make nice with him that I ultimately left most of that social group. And I don't think that's uncommon?

I have tried a number of fussy chocolate chip cookie and brownie recipes and while I can acknowledge that they did produce better results in texture/flavor, I then found a simpler recipe that got me 80-90% of the results with less than half of the effort and those are the recipes I stand by lol
