I found a bunch of my Ancient art from highschool and was appreciating that I've always tried to make things dynamic and have motion and intensity of some kind

Anyway the manufacturer of my meds changed so that added an extra adjustment period to my life but feeling better now. Jon Oliver just did a really good episode on generic drugs that made me feel like ok I'm not crazy for feeling like shit anytime my generic levothyroxine/lamotrigine gets changed

I know he's libslop or whatever a lot of the time but if you take generic meds and the manufacturer changes and you feel like they aren't working as well, it's A Thing and maybe the binder changed which can really matter youtu.be/TM1EbMKhT4Y?...

Maybe I'm sensitive cuz my parents were hypercritical or unenthused with my art growing up unless they felt I made a Masterpiece but even then, mostly negative feedback. I'm far from the only person who's experienced that so- hype up ur friends when they make stuff. It might mean the world to them!

My brain getting cooked from both being told I was an ~artistic genius~ destined to be ~rich and famous and in galleries~ while simultaneously harshly criticized where I messed up or could have done better or in the case of my awful dad getting no response besides "here's art I think is better" 💀

Man ppl gotta be more stoked irl when your friend shows you art they made. It sucks to work hard on something and show it to people you care about and get a reaction like "cool :)" hype up ur homies!!! They did that!! Pick out something to compliment and encourage them!

Even if you internally aren't that excited over it, or it's crude, or they're a beginner, find ways to be. Your friend made something, they're expressing themselves! They made that with their hands from their feelings/observations/skills, that's so awesome!!

I saw him every Wednesday evening and he even offered 'emergency' sessions any day of the week if needed... I could call and text him if I was having a problem, he was like a guardian angel, so uniquely kind and enthusiastic about what I was doing. He helped me believe in myself and understood me
