I mean to be fair, now that I don't have rent, I could have paid my August bills via freelancing and YouTube alone...though October is dead with me being afk for so long

So I lost my phone at the Porto airport during the move so I'm missing all of the good pictures, but anyway this was the view from my apartment for the last two years.

I am exhausted mentally and my knee hurts in a way it never has before. Not bad or anything just pain from overuse I've never experienced. Probably a side effect of being 33 and out of shape. I've got that SpongeBob build.

Movers are here and have the wonderful situation of likely being over the packing space we purchased but at this point its so close to the date that we will just have to pay whatever it ends up being

By the end of this we will have exported and then reimported our cat, imported 12 inspected plants, moved our entire apartment internationally, and lived abroad for 2 years. It's hard to be scared of anything legal or complicated anymore I'll tell you that much.

To be fair, I've been unemployed since March and my bank account is basically empty, so I've had to lean on our parents for support, just thankful we didn't have to abandon everything here.

Every time I move I end up listening to so many podcasts that it takes me back to my first move in LA which felt so daunting and scary but now it's nostalgic somehow.

Last day with my desktop for 2.5 weeks and already mad that I can't make videos until November. Guess I'll have to channel it all into research and scripts and planning.

Took him a good 2 minutes to get out of the car. I've seen enough hockey concussions to know people can fake being fine with only a minute or two to hide the immediate symptoms

Since becoming an adult I've basically moved every 2 years due to first needing roommates and then job demands. Now Portugal. Still never stops feeling weird when the rooms start to look completely empty.

- Move from east coast to LA for job. Remote, but close. - Job demands in office more often, move closer. (Get roommate). - Office moves after Covid, move closer to office. - Move out to stop having a roommate. - Move to Portugal. - Move back to US. anyway that's 10 years lmao

They've really flushed Quartz down the toilet. Nothing like one "author" pumping out 47 articles in a single day. Since March 13, 2026 this one person has written 3,504 articles or 16.5 posts every single day without break. Very much human, yes. qz.com/author/crist...

qz.comCris Tolomia - QuartzQuartz is a guide to the new global economy for people who are excited by change. We cover business, finance, economics, technology, lifestyle, and leadership.

not only is the project all AI but the post from someone "excited" about it is also AI. how are we at a point where people won't even make their own reddit posts about something they enjoy also people -really- suck at identifying what is and isn't AI.

"I don't understand why Game Company can't just fix these things one guy solved all on his own!" Well jeeze, maybe it's because that one guy doesn't have to worry about code stability, game reliability, developing for lots of different consoles...

Exactly one more week in Portugal. Sad to leave, even if I won't miss the stress of uncertainty. It's been so nice to have somewhere walkable. Wish it hadn't been two of the most turbulent years of my life so we could have traveled more, but the experience really was great.

I don't know what the hell Google did to the YouTube app that it does shit like this on my tablet but it's been months now with videos jumping around, not being there when I scroll back up, just completely broken.

Was a fun project. I like putting together websites for people. I did the entire layout in WordPress with a theme, customized it all (including custom layouts) based on their needs, and set up the contact form for email inquiries.
