Not to rain on everyone’s ceasefire-not-ceasefire parade, but that wrecking ball of a big dumb bill is still working its way through the Senate and still launching an assault on women, wages, benefits, and the entire working class

Hi 👋🏽 I know our country is a complete $hit$how right now so my own story is insignificant, but if anyone knows of an employment opportunity for the former DEI Manager of the Utah Jazz (and a vocal Democrat in a red state), help ya girl out. 💜

I’m trying to imagine a scenario where any of our federal UT elected reps could draw this kind of crowd in their OWN state, let alone a different one. They could never. Bernie and AOC are national treasures. #fighttheoligarchy #blutah

The passion is here in Ogden but we need help. I spoke at a protest last week for federal workers. Fascinating history about why we have so many federal jobs in our hometown. Give a listen and let’s connect!

May you have the courage and tenacity to do very hard things, especially when they don’t end the way you had hoped. May you be bold and brave, even though they will call you ‘hostile’ and try to tear you down. Happy #IWD. Cheers to the many badass women in my life. May we know them, may we be them.

How lucky am I that I was able to attend three rallies in three states this month? DC ➡️ HI ➡️ UT A friend recently told me she admired my fearlessness. I told her I’m scared every time I speak out, but I don’t have the luxury of being silent. Stupid? Brave? It’s a fine line between the two.

We could have had a competent president, lower drug prices, home buyer assistance, a Cabinet filled with qualified adults and not sociopaths, global respect, and national sovereignty...

Whyyyyy?? 🤬😩🤦🏽‍♀️ This is the Bad Place.

Currently, 18-to-20-year-olds can carry a concealed gun if they have a Provisional Concealed Firearm Permit. To openly carry in public places, they need to be at least 21.

Right now, Utah Republicans are gearing up to end collective bargaining for public employees and not enough people are talking about it. Spread the word and call your legislator—tell them to vote no on this bill. www.sltrib.com/news/educati...

My heart has been incredibly heavy the past couple of months, especially this week. I am so sad & feel helpless. As an OSD Board Member, I’m proud of the work we’re doing to keep our students safe & to let them know they’re welcome, no matter their immigration status. www.ksl.com/article/5123...

Flew from ABQ to SLC today in my Rosa Parks shirt. Got a few knowing nods. Small acts of protest. Dreading the next four years. Also posting a pic from DC a year ago. Because the only celebration today is for MLK.

Today I participated in a great panel discussion in partnership with the NAACP, on issues related to education, immigration, and civil rights. We spoke to the feelings of fear for what’s ahead, but we also remain committed to HOPE. I’m honored to be in community with these incredible leaders. 💜

Yup. Losing my hard fought state senate race was one thing but the presidential race absolutely gutted me. 💔

For me, the thing that knocked the wind out of me with this election is that I dared to believe America would get it right THIS time, that America was ready for a Woman President. It hurt having that blind faith in neighbors, friends, and strangers smacked out of me. Dammit, America. 😞

Hi 👋🏽 Newbie here. I just ran for state senate in UT against a MAGA extremist and (to no one’s surprise) I lost. 😞 But I wasn’t prepared for the outcome of the presidential election and that rocked my world. So where do we go from here? Oh, and I’m a DEI professional so I really have a battle ahead.

You are up to date.
