I no longer believe art can save the world, but I believe still that it can save me. So in the face of chaos, misinformation, hatred & ignorance, I'm going to make more art, experience more, share more, pay for more & publish more. I started this in darkness & it'll continue to be my light. 🖤🤍

Biggest and best memory from this visit to Kotor on our street cat cruise...watching my wife Lorelei care for, clean, feed, and love this calico kitten. The heart on this woman is a beautiful thing to behold and being by her side for this life is such a privilege.

The first-ever European street cat cruise I'm hosting departs Ravenna, Italy in 4 days...and in 1 week from today I'm announcing and opening up booking for the next THREE cat cruises!! 🛳🐈😻 Stanchion has failed, but this is...working (?)

I literally just remembered this is Stanchion's last book. 😭 Going out with a cover I made by writing the title in a pound of salt I poured onto a baking sheet about a hundred times to get it right. Not handmade like @thirtywestph.com chapbooks but also kinda handmade ya know.

LOOK AT WHAT'S HERE A MONTH EARLY! The test copies of Pantry are beautiful. Get yours for just $11. www.stanchionzine.com/product-page... @hildiebook.bsky.social

In a month, you'll be treated to the feast that is Pantry by @hildiebook.bsky.social, a collection of micro essays that are a celebration of life's ingredients—the sweet, the sour, and everything in between. It's a masterclass in culinary nostalgia that will leave you hungry for more.

Two very different but very incredible books coming out from Stanchion next month. Both on pre-order sale now. Both priced to make the hurdle to buy new books, to take a chance on indie lit, lower than it usually is.

I just finished reading Terms and Conditions, which reminded me so much of my own journey with unlearning anxiety. A beautiful meditation on grief, growth, and coming to new terms with life and death.

Happy publication day, Amy Goldmacher!! The 28th book in Stanchion history is officially here to remind you that the terms & conditions you grew up with don't have to determine the rest of your life. This is a memoir unlike anything you've ever experienced.

I am hemorrhaging money running Stanchion right now. If anyone would like a phenomenal book or magazine issue (or a handful of them) please consider buying something. I've seriously published some remarkable work.

I don't think y'all understand how vital, powerful and emotional the anthropological memoir Terms & Conditions truly is. This book is phenomenal in so many ways.

That time the Washington Post dedicated the entire back page of a Sunday Travel section in print to me, my book, and my undying love of and respect for the resilience of street cats & for traveling the world with wonder, curiosity, kindness and love.

Last day to get the groundbreaking memoir Terms & Conditions on sale for just $12. It's a must read for any previvor. A truly remarkable experience to spend time with this book. Such a privilege to have designed the cover and to have published it.
