Britain's Whitest Boy, humanities enthusiast, in charge of the Steering Committee to Elect the Ghost of Senator McGovern 2028. He/him homosexual. A fool says something, a wise person waits until they have something to say. I am not a wise person.

Interviewer: Can you explain this gap in your CV? Town Planner: After a series of consultations with the architects, contractors and the client, it was best decided to leave an empty space between the previous experience and the present moment pending future input from additional stakeholders

Interviewer: can you explain this gap in your resume? Gandalf: Then Darkness took me, and I strayed out of thought and time, and I wandered far on roads that I will not tell.

i would also like to comment on the role of the play. allowing people to grieve for climate change by doing 2 minutes hate for a singular guy allows the (also very powerful) nephew funding the play to get off the hook. if people understood that it's the system that prioritises oil and gas extraction

over all else, even a collapsed society and social order composed of "fuck you", then there isn't much point to the play beyond placating the masses with a brief moment of personal vindication. the movie says very little about this either, possibly because it wouldn't have got made otherwise.

as I suspect will happen in real life the same group of nepotistic guys keep running everything despite their manifest failures in maintaining the standard of living in a collapsing world which they helped to fuck up in the first place. the film does not really touch on this. cough cough flavio

the film is an exquisite series of magnificently horrifying tableaux. every scene is a deep loathing of the hole we have dug ourselves into. i like it, and i even like the president pat robertson bit, which is a bullet america doesn't know it dodged. it is a truly tremendous bit of acting and design

Incredible that American anti-war activists* invented things and said that the US government was doing them and then now we have the US government saying "that's cool and we can** and should do it actually" *lyndon larouche ** this is an advanced tactic known as "lying"

Despite being the certified Britain's whitest boy, I'm apparently not white enough for ... err ... Suella Braverman. If these numbnuts get in, I'm getting deported back to Berlin, a place where none of the family have lived since 1882. Honestly I would take that.

Suella Braverman suggests on #BBCQT that you can't be English unless you are white, and have a lineage or heritage going back some generations

in Carrie, do you think newly inaugurated President Gerald Ford would be able to cope with a teenage girl killing some 500 people in a small town in Maine because it turns out ESP is real or do you think Ed Muskie eats his lunch in the following 1976 election?

So the other day I found out that my (CofE) primary school was secretly celebrating Sukkot without telling anyone by disguising it as the "harvest festival" it's nice we did it, but it would've been better if they called a spade a spade
