Hi, I'm Stefano, a freelance creative developer from Italy ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm focused on ๐Ÿ’ป Front-End ๐ŸŽจ Creative development โœจ Animations & Interactions ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป Vue & Nuxt I also enjoy swimming, hiking, reading, gaming, history, sci-fi, etc... Follow me if you are interested! My home ๐Ÿ‘‰ www.stefanobartoletti.it

When I advise moving to a modern headless Jamstack setup, where the decoupled architecture is in itself a security measure, they often tell me that old monoliths are still more than enough and the best solution.

Experimenting with Claude Design: again, constraint and railroading heavily matter. On its own, it only produces average, samey, boring visuals. Give it examples, rules, accurate requirements, and the result is an acceptable baseline where you can at least start to improve upon.

Some of my most recent Claude chats (apart from Claude Code): ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป Website design exploration โœ‰๏ธ Collaboration assessment ๐Ÿš Risotto peperoni e salsiccia (this has to be in Italian, sorry) ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ Spanish practice ๐Ÿค– Running local AI models โš”๏ธ Witcher 3 DLSS & Ray Tracing settings

Every time I'm working through a problem with Claude and start to suspect I've gone down a rabbit hole, I often ask: "Am I overthinking this?" The answer is almost always "Yes a little bit" Iโ€™m quite sure that is Claude's polite way of saying Iโ€™m already deep in the rabbit hole

The least architectural and structural decisions you delegate to AI, the better. Let it do the code monkey, but you should always be the senior making key decisions during the whole process. If you are not, well, you will have problems sooner or later, my friend.

Something AI agents can't do on their own if left to run without precise instructions constraints and fences, is respect KISS principles They get verbose, overdo requested tasks, and address what they think are "issues" even when not instructed Anyone else experiencing this?

When authoring skills for an AI agent you can't just blindly trust AI itself to write the constraints that it needs to follow later when actually coding: you need to revise and tweak them, your direction should be intentional, at least if you want the AI to work your way.

People going full agentic and telling you that if you read your code you are wasting time, and people manually tweaking animation values and small visual details because it also needs to "feel" right. I'm in the latter category.

๐Ÿ’ฅA brand new version of this starter, still using the same Nuxt codebase for the frontend and with the same feature set, but with @sanity.io as the CMS. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Some other stuff that I hope to be able to talk about soon! More ๐Ÿงต

After years of using it, sometimes TypeScript still gives me some headaches. Ngl, it feels like an unnecessary complication and a slowdown But the reality is that it forces you to solve problems before they can crawl unnoticed into production, so thanks TS for your pedantry :D

๐Ÿ—“๏ธNew availability opening up mid-April๐Ÿ—“๏ธ I'm a freelance web developer specialized in high-quality frontends with โžก๏ธVue/Nuxt โžก๏ธGSAP/Lenis animations โžก๏ธHeadless CMS (proud @storyblok.com MVP) Need help with a landing page, portfolio or other creative website? DM me and let's talk!

I analyzed the stacks for all 30 Awwwards SOTY nominees Here are the top 3 frameworks: ๐Ÿฅ‡ @vuejs.org / @nuxt.com (13) ๐Ÿฅˆ #webflow (6) ๐Ÿฅ‰ HTML+JS (4) I'm not surprised to see Vue and Nuxt at the top of the list, but I was not expecting such domination ๐Ÿ˜ฎ (more ๐Ÿ‘‡)

Developers problems: you need to add a new case study to your portfolio website, it will take about an hour at most. You end up creating new features and tweaking old ones, you are a week into it and probably next one as well, and you haven't even started with the content update

Freed up availability starting in June! ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ปI'm design-speaking creative dev fluent in #vue #nuxt and #GSAP ๐Ÿค˜Looking to team up with creative agencies & independent designers to craft amazing stuff! โ˜• Reply or DM to book a virtual coffee chat! ๐Ÿ™ Karma points if you share!

I'm a longtime fan of the "Syberia" series, and I've just finished the last installment, "The World Before": 10/10 if you ask me. Great setting, deep and believable characters, touching and emotional story, all as usual. And Kate Walker is one of the best videogame characters ever.

Vibe coding is cool and all, but when a simple oneliner would have solved the problem at hand, it completely rewrites my components with both different styling/linting and logic (often being more complex, verbose, and unclear)

Sometimes being a freelance developer means being free to invest in yourself, make your own choices, and feel free to sail your boat along your own course. Ultimately being empowered by being the architect of your own destiny. Some other times it just feels like a solitary and tiresome voyage

Is #Claude Pro's subscription worthwhile? I prefer its output and evaluations over #ChatGPT, but it is very limited in the number of messages and chat length. Is Pro effectively removing these limits (5x more usage than Free doesn't seem that much, since Free is really limited) Opinions?

I need to dynamically toggle a class to the `body` of a page inside a @nuxt.com project ``` const myState = useState('myState') useHead({ bodyAttrs: { class: myState.value !== null ? 'overflow-hidden' : '', }, }) ``` this is not working, it always applies even if the value is null, why?

No matter how much you explain that a minimal reproduction is essential in issue reports to solve THEIR problems people will still put "not needed". Then in the next 3~4 comments you try to explain that they need to provide it and that you only work on your OSS project and not their final project
