After Fable and GPT-Sol, the local models felt excruciatingly slow. By next year, I expect the coming wave of lightweight OSS models to shine at agentic GitOps, from manifest generation to handling promotion pipelines across a cluster fleet.

After benchmarking a range of models for a couple of days, I chose Apodex-1.1-mini. I quantized it with Lightning MTP speculative decoding enabled, which made it noticeably faster on my homelab. If you want to try Apodex on oMLX, my quant is on Hugging Face: huggingface.co/stefanprodan...

we've built Flux Mirror :) take ownership of all of your images, charts, and other OCI artifacts for your Kubernetes clusters! supply chain attacks are getting worse as well. check out our blog which talks about how to implement a import diode using min artifact age fluxcd.io/blog/2026/08...

Check out the new Ignore Rules in Flux :) They let you initialize values but perform selective drift correction. It's now possible to pick the starting replicas when using HPA's instead of relying on the minimum, and cert-manager can now regenerate your placeholder certs fluxcd.io/blog/2026/08...

fluxcd.ioSelective drift correction with ignore rulesLet external controllers like HPA and cert-manager manage specific fields without fighting Flux drift correction.

Check out Flux Schema! Our brand new #FluxCD CLI plugin that validates manifests and helps AI Agents stop hallucinating Kubernetes YAML. After extensive benchmarks my conclusion is that the Flux Schema MCP Server gets you 57% fewer tokens compared to web tools. fluxcd.io/blog/2026/07...

Used cctop as an excuse to try Bun instead of my usual Go. Instant startup, genuinely fast, and bun:ffi calls straight into native macOS APIs. Compiles to a single binary too. Bun earned a spot in my toolbox.

✈️ On my way to #KubeCon! Monday at #FluxCon we'll be launching the official #FluxCD Skills. I'll be taking about ADLC and how we've developed AI Agents specialised in GitOps and Flux security. If you are going to vibe code your Kubernetes infra, you should come to my talk on March 23 at 09AM 😊

Morgan Stanley scaled Flux to 500+ clusters, 100k+ containers, and 10k+ Flux resources. Their 5-year journey covers: multi-tenancy, performance tuning, moving to S3 sources, and devX fluxcd.io/blog/2026/03/stairway-to-gitops-morgan-stanley/ FluxCon Europe is next Monday - come say hi! #kubecon

Flux v2.8 is out! This release marks the General Availability of Helm v4 features such as server-side apply and enhanced health checking. ❤️ Big thanks to the Helm maintainers for their work on Helm v4 and for collaborating with us to ensure a smooth integration with Flux! fluxcd.io/blog/2026/02...

fluxcd.ioAnnouncing Flux 2.8 GAWe are thrilled to announce the release of Flux v2.8.0! Here you will find highlights of new features and improvements in this release.

We've implemented #GitOps actions in the latest Flux Operator Web UI. You can reconcile, pull latest source, and suspend/resume, with more actions to come. Check it out: fluxoperator.dev/web-ui/ ♥️ Big thanks to the #FluxCD users for the feedback that shaped this UI release.

Last time I developed an app for macOS was years ago in Objective-C. To not spend ages on KSwitch, I went with a spec-driven approach: wrote the features I wanted in markdown and the data models in Swift, then fired off Claude Code and iterated over it for a couple of days.

At #FluxCon Morgan Stanley shared how they run #FluxCD to deploy tens of thousands of apps on 500+ clusters. Awesome to see all the optimizations we’ve built into Flux delivered at this scale 🎉

Hey all -- this is not happening -- Slack will be comped for CNCF communities in perpetuity.

Heads up: on 20 June, Salesforce will no longer be supporting the Kubernetes project with a free enterprise license. We will lose access to channel history older than 90 days, and will likely be forced to migrate to a new platform sometime later this year. www.kubernetes.dev/blog/2025/06...
