#Starship is in orbit! That kind of lift capacity? Spaceflight starts accelerating now.

There's a lot of complaints that #MasterChefAU is leaning into the Social Media Influencers this year. But honestly, that's where the chefs are now. Someone who likes cooking so much? Long before they enter a Reality Show, they post their creations on TikTok and Insta. And thousands follow them.

I'm seeing everyone celebrate the Project Hail Mary is available to buy online... Except it's not. Not in Australia. Not yet. (Sigh)

Hate to say it, but #MasterchefAU is great at showing you why things *fail*. For the most part, the viewers know what the contestants know, when it comes to elimination rounds.

You'd assume that the #MasterChefAU kitchen would have the mother of all extraction fans...

For a moment, I thought they'd follow Pat with the fish. #MasterChefAU

Andy is asking if she's willing to stay away from her kids for the whole show, because he thinks she can make it. Remember, Andy just got a brand new kid of his own, so it would have been very much on his mind during filming. #MasterChefAU

You wanna feel old? Half the candidates tonight grew up watching our favourite judge. If they burn something in front of Poh, it's gonna sting. #MasterChefAU

If the production team has collected kid's photos, do you take it as a good sign that they're staying? #MasterChefAU

Congratulations to #BlueOrigin for reusing and re-landing their #NewGlenn booster. Reusability is the name of the game in Space these days.

Aaand we go to commercial just as we're about to see. I haven't missed that part of #MasterChefAU

I love it when the chefs put out a *spread*. You can see them feeding whole families with these platters. Makes it feel more 'best home chef'. #MasterchefAU

Ohh, Lydia is a *character*. #MasterchefAU

I'm from Australia. I'm more than a little jazzed that #Artemis was the first story on the news tonight. Not war, not scandal. The success of a space mission. It was nice to be away from Earth for a few minutes.

#Artemis does it's fly-by of the moon today. Timezones mean I won't be awake for it, but I believe I'll celebrate the Lunar mission by starting a re-read of @daniel-suarez.com's "Critical Mass". My 2nd favorite #Scifi read after #ProjectHailMary.

#Artemis appears to have successfully finished the TLI. For the first time in more than 50 years, a crew of humans are on their way to the Moon. YAH! Pardon me as I spend the rest of my day playing #KSP and watching #ForAllMankind.

Hey, you hear that? The sound of tens of thousands of people chewing on their fingernails for the next three minutes? #CHNvAUS #WAC2026

This game is always 90 seconds from a Goal, so nothing's safe yet. Only three minutes left in Regulation time, but there haven't been a lot of injuries and stoppages in this game, so I don't know how much more will be tacked on the end. #CHNvAUS #WAC2026

And that's why Kerr's the Captain. #CHNvAUS #WAC2026

From here it looks like China's really gunning for Foord now. #CHNvAUS #WAC2026

Macca is earning her pay tonight. #AUSvPRK #WAC2026

#ausvkor is going to be the toughest one so far for the Matildas. The tension until there's a point on the board just keeps growing.

I'm going to spend the half time looking up YouTube videos about the offside rule. #IRNvAUS #WAC2026

See what I mean? #IRNvAUS #WAC2026

Y’know most people complain that Soccer/Football is a low scoring game and "Nuthin ever happens", but this game is always ten seconds away from a Goal at any given moment.

I wish I understood the Offside rule. It's the only rule in this sport I can't be sure of. #IRNvAUS #WAC2026

#ProjectHailMary soon to release, #Artemis getting ready for a manned launch, #ForAllMankind getting a new season at last; and now #NoMansSky teasing a new update. Sci-Fi and Space Fans are *feasting* this Quarter.

I'm planning to buy my first #telescope for the #Artemis mission. I know I'll never be able to see the #space craft itself, but it's been fifty years since anyone could say they looked up at the #Moon, knowing there were people there, looking back at Earth.

Not my most recent work, but the one I'm proudest of; and there is a sequel coming. www.amazon.com/dp/B09PK3YJM... #WeeknightWriters #WritingThoughts #Solarpunk

My father is looking for a movie he can't recall the name of. It's a /TipOfMyTongue request. * A wager, where a man has to survive for a week, starting with only a newspaper. * He talks a tailor into fashioning this newspaper into a suit, and starts 'advertising'. * It's a black and white comedy

We have entered the age of Kitten Space Agency! Alpha Build available now! These guys have done in a year what #KSP2 couldn't in a decade! #KSA is looking beautiful! ahwoo.com/store/KPbAA1...

#BookLovers of BlueSky, what #Book broke you out of a reading slump? For me, it was The Book Thief. I had a few minutes at the Library, waiting for a pickup. I saw it on the 'New Books' shelf. I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. Tell your story, or retweet.

Not all Companions get seasons of their own on #DoctorWho. RIP Sasha.

Nobody ever expects the Brass Band. #Severance

Authors, if you see this, it's a sign to post the first line of your book. "Childhood on the Ark-Hive ended the day you understood." amzn.to/3PZ7WRy

So, the question of the season in #Severance: What is Cold Habor?

Catching a #Starship booster is still one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. (Admittedly, we've only seen it twice.)

Good luck #NewGlenn!

I've done this, in an effort to drive up readers. matt-stephens.blogspot.com Take a look at the menu of completed novels and short stories to the right.

And #Starship re-lit! That's the big one for Spaceflight. Congrats #SpaceX

No-Go on the Catch for #IFT-6. Too bad. That would have been the most exciting part to watch. It was nearly 1am where I was watching #IFT-5 land. I was struggling not to howl at the moon when #SpaceX caught it.

Reminder to everyone to always order your favorite #books at your local #library; even if you own a copy. I've found several favorites just browsing the shelves.

New to bsky, so I'm recycling some past comments from other socials. It'll no doubt seem like my brain is jumping around to unrelated topics at an alarming pace, but I do that IRL too.

Hi! New to bsky. I'm a #selfpublishing #author. For those so inclined towards #solarpunk, the book I'm proudest of writing is for you. "Wheelers". amzn.to/3NUnipz
