An old public defender & punk rocker still trying to hold the line one case at a time. Clawhammer > three-finger. Maximum transaction-costs are strategically necessary. Cable Street everyday. John Brown wasn't wrong.

@msnownews.bsky.social describes "multiple, uncorroborated allegations," overlooking that multiple claims corroborate any single allegation. Propensity evidence, for law nerds. After dozens of public sexual abuse & rape claims, those bricks build their own wall.

That day, someday, when he grovels in his 6x8 isolation cell waiting for the jury to give him the wall.

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

That would actually be calling the 12-year-old girl who made the substantiated allegation a liar.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Acton, is a liar, and much worse. The Press is trying to get him to 'take down the Ad.' Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about daughter that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving"

What ally of the US detains our politicians and gets away with it with such impunity? None. Israel is a rogue and hostile nation to Americans. Americans are being killed, harassed and beaten there by the IDF and we act like it’s nothing. There is no other country that could get away with this.

One day, when we have power again, we will shut off their satellites, take their weapons, expel their ambassadors, protect the Palestinians, and turn Israel into a pariah state.

Marisa Kabas@marisakabas.bsky.social

The IDF just detained the man who’s about to be elected US Congressman for NY’s 10th district, per his social media.

Trump: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"

Impeach both the president and vice president and the speaker of the house becomes president. If we have enough Dems who aren't Vichy, we can crush them.

VoteHub@votehub.com

Democrats have reached an all-time high in KPOW, driven by a rise in their U.S. Senate majority odds to 65%, also a new high. The latest movement reflects growing market confidence in Democratic prospects for control of U.S. Congress ahead of November's midterms.

It ain't bloodless. Strap on the steel toes, invoke our right to self-defense, and let us now find our Lexington Green.

Mark Jacob@markjacob.bsky.social

In 2024, Heritage Foundation chief Kevin Roberts made a classic fascist threat: “We are in the process of the 2nd American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.” Then Trump took over, unleashing ICE to execute people in the streets. Republicans rule through violence.

Grateful. But the best litigation will be criminal litigation, when they are held accountable for their conspiracy against rights resulting in death, a capital offense. 18 USC 241.

Norm Eisen@normeisen.bsky.social

Think our effort to address the damage done by DOGE Is over? Not at all! We just won summary judgment proving that they abused our data And we are also litigating in fed court on behalf of the countless people they injured at USAID

The publicly announced endpoint goal should be 18 USC 241, conspiracy against rights resulting in death, subjecting him to the possibility of capital punishment. Make him afraid.

John Light@johnalight.bsky.social

Democrats say they are planning to extensively probe the DOGE rampage that kicked off Donald Trump's second term if they retake a chamber of Congress and obtain subpoena power.

To Beltway elites, folks like Susan Collins, Lindsey Graham and Jim Clyburn symbolized the "Good Washington" that was soiled by the uncouth Trump But here they are in steakhouses ripping off taxpayers with bogus contracts in return for campaign cash Yo, pundits, your life is based around a lie

When a defendant agrees to cooperate w/ the government, they trade "substantial" investigation assistance for sentence reductions. "Substantial assistance" means briefing agents on every crime they committed, know of, naming everyone involved. Every white collar cooperates every time.

ProPublica@propublica.org

4/ That’s not all Kao confessed. Facing prison for fraud, he was hoping to reduce his sentence. His entire business model consisted of bribing officials in exchange for government contracts, he told the FBI. What’s more, the research Navatek was providing was often worthless.

$8b ÷ $6.50 = 1.23b gal. In the US, we burn about 120m gal per day. His plan is 10 days of diesel.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

Trump has a new scheme to bribe farmers in swing states with welfare checks of taxpayer money because fuel has gone up so much because of his war. But only money for them, not for anyone else in the country. No, we have to keep paying higher prices AND we pay Trump’s voters.

I'm certainly open to property tax reform. Protect from speculatively high real estate values & from losing shelter to tax seizure if they cannot afford a tax assessed on non-luxury homes. But this revolt is just Boomer greed shouted and echoed from the middle of their McMansions. Fuck them.

A vote for a Republican on November 3rd is a vote to deport the one good restaurant in every rural Missouri town, the one that's always full and is everyone's favorite. The only non-Mexican restaurant is Casey's General Store, which sells mountain dew and corn chips and heat lamp pizza.
