Itโs rarely brought up, but Sega has its own take on the Zelda formula courtesy of the same developers behind Streets of Rage 2! Join me, @steve.gvg.io, and @brandon.gvg.io as we go over our first experience with Beyond Oasis! youtu.be/ctA1GvO1iEc?...

A brand new on-rails shooter!
It seems Star Fox is a hit and I think the devs are well in place to continue with the series and release a sequel in 2-3 years. What would you like them to do? A)Screw it, Adventures Remake B)Skip Adventures, introduce Krystal via Assault Remake C)Permission to go in whatever direction they want
Rebirth is best elsewhere, but this is hands-down the best price-to-performance portable experience you can have.
FF VII Rebirth on Switch 2 may not be the ideal way to play the game from a visual standpoint, but itโs mostly consistent in frame rate and the combat rarely feels compromised. @steve.gvg.io has a better tech view of its performance but I was satisfied with what I played. youtu.be/K6AKHkG4LhE?...

I work at Kotaku now! :) You can go watch back today's KFGD to hear me talk about it a little if you want. You could also read my alma mater @gibiz.bsky.social to learn more! www.gamesindustry.biz/kotaku-hires...
I spent a chunk of today replaying Star Fox Zero and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
Ran through all the NSO Star Fox games yesterday evening Whenever I revisit Starwing I often have a preconceived notion that it probably feels a bit janky now but that sinks away when actually playing it. Still controls and plays miraculously well

You knew I had to talk about the Master System! Getting to write about my childhood in Derrickโs upcoming book was an immense privilege!
1989 is also when Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap was released on Master System. It serves as the subject of @steve.gvg.io's contributor piece to my upcoming book as it was this game that was his introduction to the genre, not Metroid or Castlevania! Preorder now! www.lostincult.co.uk/metroidvania
I wrote a short essay in @bitnerd.gvg.io โs book! Go preorder it here!
