Credits on Control Resonant. A game that took a LOT of big swings and missed as many as it hit. Felt like a great game wrapped within a mediocre one. Good enough to finish but nowhere near as consistent and high as the first one. It sure did some wild ass stuff though.

I loaded up Hades 2 last night and it’s starting to get its hooks in me. I bought it at 1.0 release and dropped it after two or three runs and thought I’d never go back but I’m happy I did.

It feels too on-the-nose how comically dangerous that Tesla looks for both the driver and anyone nearby. It’s a car for nobody doing things nobody asked for. Releasing the Cybertruck and then doubling-down on its idiocy is a remarkable play. lol, this sucks dude.

Amelie picked out fabrics for her witch costume last summer and Tiff has been putting finishing touches on it after some test fittings while she was here. It’s looking pretty awesome and the best part is that it’s exactly what she designed 🙏🏼

First day of Jujitsu; a lady choked me out and an old man twisted my arm into oblivion. This rules. I’m deceased and exhausted and this rules.

Been continuing to hang in there with Control Resonant and it feels like it’s starting to become a good time. The time investment needed to get here is… a lot… but at some point the combat became okay and the movement in the world became fun. This lets you consume the lore and remedy vibe.

Man… the combat continues to not be great. I’ve got more options but everything I’m fighting feels like a fist sponge more than any kind of skill based combat. Just hit hit hit hit hit hit hit hit hit hit hit. Rinse, repeat. Game is lucky it looks so good and the world is so interesting…

Top Gun Maverick has no business being as good as it is. Fired it up to watch a specific scene and now I’m stuck watching the whole thing.

Tried wrestling for the first time in 25+ years and I have not been this gassed out in as long as I can remember. Outside of how terrible my high intensity endurance is, it was a real good time. I have not fought anyone full strength since I was like 18 and it turns out, I’m strong as hell.

Oh, I sparred with a guy that was like 50 pounds lighter than me and I wrecked him with muscle memory and brute strength. Afterwards he said he was in high school wrestling and I had an incredible sprawl. Lol, fuck them kids 🕺🏻

Started Control Resonant and got past the first boss. Initial impressions are that the game feels fine. I think it tangibly hurts that I’m coming into it straight from Onimusha which had phenomenal combat and outrageously good acting.

Testing out 4 different types of treatment on brass coins to add some tarnish. My personal favorite is the top left of hearing it till it’s literally red hot with a blowtorch. The top right is baked at 450 for 30 min. The other two are blowtorches at lower and lower temps.

At multiple points during the movie, I was thinking “it can’t keep this up” and somehow, it kept keeping it up till the very last shot. A triumph. It’s not an adaptation of the game, it’s a Resident Evil fan love letter.

It reminds me a bit of how Andor is Star Wars but it does it without the Jedi, Yoda, or other name dropping fan service that almost every other Star Wars thing does. The movie is Resident Evil to its core without pandering. You would know it were Resident Evil even without the name.

It will take approximately 27 years AFTER data centers are built (lol) to update all the drivers and turn off wasteful Nvidia Experience apps. bsky.app/profile/edzi...

Joined the Tech Report to talk about how Microsoft only has 2GW of AI chips in service, suggesting that it has at least $82 billion of GPUs in warehouses, and that the industry as a whole may have pre-purchased anywhere from $100 billion to $300bn of GPUs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C-J...

Was talking to some people about devs that used to be “must-buy” back in the day and it was Valve, Blizzard, and Platinum. I feel like that category doesn’t really exist anymore. Though Capcom has been on such a hot-streak that it’s got me wondering if that Megaman game is gonna be a sleeper hit.

I played those Warhammer Space Marine games and had a good time. I’m down to see what Blizzard can do but Blizzard now is nowhere near what Blizzard was when they were pitching StarCraft: Ghost.

If a game stretches out its playtime far beyond what it can provide unique experiences for, it becomes a bad time. Like if you have an event with booths that could comfortably be in one hall but they’re spread out into 10 halls, it a ten times worse event to attend.

I want a new Smash on Switch 2 because I need them to give everyone this weird and wild treatment. Everyone with too much detail in a funky direction. Give me strange Pokémon and fleshy Kirby.

Finally getting around to watching the Zelda direct and I really want to play it. I loved Ocarana of Time but it doesn’t hold up too well after so many years. This looks like a great way to play a game I want to revisit but don’t want to actually play in 2026.

Whatever series of events need to unfold for Nintendo to remake Earthbound using the strategy guide’s clay style, I will accept. Give me the raggedy dog StarFox and shiny Link. But eventually give me clay Ness 🙏🏼
