The “no kings” marches have become (and arguably always were) a sideshow. They’re something to do on a Saturday, rather than a movement for change. Want change? Start fighting back. When you bring your toddlers and your grandparents to a protest, you’re not serious about taking action.

Re: casting, I remembered Tom Berenger and Joey Pants, but had forgotten that Ellen Barkin was in it. And character actor Matthew Laurence as Sal the bass player was good in his part. Michael Pare played Eddie Wilson - was solid, at his best when displaying raw emotion.

For the record, purity tests for electoral candidates are colossally stupid. It is better to have a person who represents 90% of your ideals than to refuse to vote, or vote third party, and lose the election. Shit, 51% support is better than the alternative.
