NEW: Without USAID funding to help buy food for refugees, the World Food Program rushed to prioritize families based on need, determining that only half the population would get food. Refugees learned which half they were in from a number stamped on the back of their ration card.

Dear Democratic Leaders: here’s a free idea, send members of congress into the buildings where Elons people are and see what they’re doing. Dare them to stop you. Do something

Seriously

Zuckerberg: "We're going to move content moderation to Texas, a hotbed of white supremacy, LGBTQ hatred, anti-abortion zealotry, and all-around right-wing kookiness, because it will ensure a more even-handed tone. Kidding. It's so Trump won't break up the company."

I respect @anntelnaes.bsky.social’s decision to resign after being censored by the WashPo management, and I support her Substack by purchasing a subscription here: open.substack.com/pub/anntelna... #supportfreepress PS. I am giving a chance to @washingtonpost.com’s newsroom. 👇🏽

I was disappointed when Bezos pressured the @washingtonpost.com to not endorse Kamala Harris, but kept my subscription. To censor Ann Telnaes @anntelnaes.bsky.social forcing her to resign tells me that I can't have confidence in the ability of the newspaper to report on the incoming administration.

Also, this is a rhetoric from Trump that legitimizes Putin.

“Beware of the aggressive talk about Greenland, the Panama Canal and Canada. It's an after-the-fact way of justifying Putin's aggression in Ukraine—i.e. militarily powerful nations get to have their way. The new colonialism” — Richard Stengel

Dear Maia Sandu, congratulations on your inauguration today. Despite foreign forces working against you, you won fair and square. Your integrity and determination inspire us all. You can count on me as Moldova moves forward on its path to our Union.

It is clear who is aiming to be the real President of the USA: the person who paid the most to purchase the seat. Let’s see how Donald likes this:

Kim Sherrell@web.kim

Elon blows up Congress — and the illusion of Mike Johnson’s grip on power ‘DOGE’ chief ‘detonates’ an agreement and makes Mike Johnson break his word. What did the GOP gain?

And just like that, the LA Times ceased to exist. Much like Twitter, a billionaire bought it and killed it because he could. My heart goes out to the journalists who worked there. If you care about a free press, make sure to subscribe. It costs little, but it supports democracy.

The same guy, who said, “What has Putin ever done against me?”

“I don’t have strong feelings about Assad one way or the other,” Tucker Carlson said. “Apparently he’s protected the Christians, so I’m grateful for that as a Christian. But, I don’t—why am I required to hate Assad?”

Hey, but Biden was too old, and Kamala’s laugh was too weird, so I guess we are okay. No? 🤬

This has ALWAYS been what is going to happen. The way that tariffs work makes them perfect vehicles for presidential corruption. If you're on team Trump you get a waiver. If you're not, well ... sucks to be you. That's why the inaugural committee is cleaning up with CEOs.

Tucker Carlson should explain

Can't figure out why there's no crowds in Syria is trying to force their way onto our vehicles to come to Russia with us like it was when US left Afghanistan. You do remember that, right
