Daniel Stratton

Franco picked the direction beautifully by just not quite there. A penalty we had no need to concede. We really like doing it the hard way #WSWvBRI #ALW

Big swing, no ding! #WSWvBRI #ALW

Oh you sneak Daisy Brown. You nearly got it! That would've been a cracker #WSWvBRI #ALW

Great save by Franco, she did excellent work in that shot. Unfortunate on the corner followup though. Got fingers to it but not enough #WSWvBRI #ALW

It ain't pretty, but a goal is a goal! Let's go Roar! #WSWvBRI #ALW

Absolutely needed that goal. Perfectly placed, she couldn't have done any better. But you still feel that this is probably beyond the Roar with just over 10 to go. #ALW #BRIvCCM

Some great attacking play in the second half so far. Or at least, getting up there. But oh boy, that goal to concede... 😬 You can't give an opposition unfettered access like that Losing daisy is going to be hard #ALW #BRIvCCM

Late to the game as I didn't want to watch it without my daughter who just finished her gym fun the day. Yay, Daisy scored. Boo, we conceded. Half time highlights will be enlightening. #BNEvCCM #NinjaALeague

Welp, I guess you can get more embarrassing. Always hurts to see an own goal #Roar #FootballQueensland. I feel for the all stars defender

Ugh, awful way to concede slipping like that But yay Daisy for the finish! #Roar #FootballQueensland

Oh very nice, unexpected #Roar match on YouTube on football Queensland channel. Good chance to see the new ladies in action before the season starts! Though being numberless on the jerseys is killing me

Bunge is a fun name to say #ALWvCHE

Half 2,electric boogaloo! The all stars really just need more possession. They're looking good, but you can tell they're not as gelled as Chelsea. Cmon all stars! #ALWvCHE

After a very rocky transmission start, now the A League Women All Stars vs Chelsea is on and running. Very interesting start, love the quality of players on display here #ALWvCHE

Honestly, I think Mexico has deserved the result. We haven't done enough, and they've had a lot of chances. Having numbers back doesn't mean much, though, if players don't track a runner or mark a player. A real shame. But hey, another game in a few days! #Matildas

Crikey, we should be down 1-0 if Mexico hadn't butchered that chance #Matildas

Goes to show having possession doesn't always mean dominance. Mexico are looking the more threatening, but we've out possessed them nearly 2-1 Tillies going to have to lift their game, I think. I'd love to see them go out and win #Matildas

Interesting to see a more conservative #Matildas side, playing much more around the back. Mexico pressing high and making chances though. Looking like a fun game!

Got the popcorn, the pups, my little one and the #Matildas on the big screen. Perfect night in!

Well, you can't say City didn't deserve it. They were just better on the day. Kudos to Phoenix for getting there though! #MCYvWEL #ALW

Oy, that half time talk for Wellington appears to have done nothing. Can't imagine a path back now... But they just scored. Hmmmmmmmm #MCYvWEL #ALW

Oh Wellington, that's terrible. A double by McNamara. Brilliantly finished, but ladies, that's an awful couple of minutes #MCYvWEL #ALW

Yup, it had to happen. Give a player like McNamara that much space on the edge of the box and you're going to be punished by her. #MCYvWEL #ALW

Wellington skating away there, very lucky. They've been very lucky not to concede yet. But it's been a great half to watch so far #MCYvWEL #ALW

It was a frustrating bow out in the finals, but really was a great outcome for the season under challenging conditions. Between long term injuries & player transfers it's not been an easy stretch of it. To come out & make the semis is still a brilliant outcome. Onward & upward! #ALW #HearHerRoar

They turned up to play in the last 30, it wasn't enough. Wellington wanted it more. Studer was outstanding. Lincoln made good saves. we couldn't string passes together. if you can't, you won't win games. Momo starting at CB felt a mistake. Still, there's always next year! #WELvBRI #ALW

Honestly, if the Roar get back into this (and I hope they do), it's because Wellington have shut up shop and just want to defend, rather than continuing with what has worked for them so far. #WELvBRI #ALW

What a shocker of a mistake, and so costly. This is really going to be tough for the Roar. #WELvBRI #ALW

Alright, I know I asked for 20 minutes. Give us 30 good minutes now. Do it for Tameka for Mother's day. Do it for each other. Nike. Just do it. #WELvBRI #ALW

Not going to lie, The Final Countdown playing in the background while we wait for extra time is a brilliant choice #WELvBRI #ALW

Sweet zombie Jesus, I thought we were done in that dying play. Great time for Lincoln to make a cracking save. #WELvBRI #ALW

Christ on a bike, that was close. Heart in your mouth stuff. #WELvBRI #ALW

Bloody hell Daisy, just shoot!

Cmon Brisbane. Make it a strong, quality 20 minutes. That's all. Give us 20 minutes of quality, bag a goal, and you can rest. #WELvBRI #ALW

A surprisingly poor half from the Roar so far. No real sense if urgency, cheap turnovers and less than 1 in 2 passes hitting the mark. Hopefully this goal is a wakeup call. #WELvBRI #ALW

Ouch, nice shot to Momo's, that'd sting. 43% passing accuracy is not a great number though. #WELvBRI #ALW

Great covering challenge by Studer #WELvBRI #ALW

Man, this wide angle shot on Paramount+ is awful. Field looks like neon green, team shirts too close and blown out highlights. Though when defending its not quite so awful. The close up low shots are beautiful though. And great start for the ladies! #WELvBRI #ALW

Interesting to put momo in for Ruby, when Angie was recruited to replace Varley as a defender. Cmon you Roar! #WELvBRI #ALW

There's blood in the water and the Roar have the scent #BRIvWEL #ALW

A cracking second half so far with some high quality chances. A bit of inevitability about scoring that goal, beautifully done #BRIvWEL #ALW

Really looking forward to what this second half will bring. Can't say it won't be exciting #BRIvWEL #ALW

You know, if you'd missed the first 10 minutes of this game, you'd be hard pressed to know how Wellington had a goal. Day and night difference #BRIvWEL #ALW

What an absolute ripper from Momo. She drilled that home and nothing was going to stop her #BRIvWEL #ALW

Oof, not looking good for Ruby here. Looked really wobbly trying to stand. Fingers crossed nothing serious #BRIvWEL #ALW

Well. I guess that's *A* start. Not so hot though #BRIvWEL #ALW

Cmon you Roar! We're ready to rock and see you through. Great looking lineup and they've been playing real strong in the backend of this season #BRIvWEL #ALW

The Roar just rampaging now, chances galore. You love to see it #BRIvADE #ALW
