PWD crews & contractors have been hard at work rebuilding concrete sidewalks in Brighton, including Market St. at Washington St., and making brick sidewalk repairs on Charles St. & Phillips St. in Beacon Hill. These ongoing improvements help make our sidewalks more accessible & easier to navigate.

As we prepare for the cold months ahead, deliveries of salt began early this morning at Frontage Road. Well before the first storm arrives, the PWD team is getting equipment ready, loading up our salt supply, and preparing to keep Boston’s streets treated & cleared throughout the winter.

PWD crews have been working through the weekend in close collaboration with our Boston Water & Sewer and Parks & Recreation partners. Our team continues to sweep streets and clear leaves, trash, and other debris from catch basins to help prevent flooding and keep our roadways clear & accessible.

PWD crews were out bright & early clearing litter along Blue Hill Ave. With high winds & rain in the forecast, our team is placing an extra emphasis on keeping catch basins clear of trash, leaves & other debris to help prevent flooding.

Starting September 1, new MBTA fare pilots will make transit more affordable and easier to use!

We’re working to make sure every resident can get where they need to go while making sure our public transit is safe, affordable, and ready to serve the needs of every generation. I’m grateful to the MBTA, our city partners, and leaders like Mary who are bringing us closer to those goals every day.
