This weekend, we’re getting out the vote for Gun Sense Candidates. Together, we can and WILL elect leaders who will prioritize our lives over the gun lobby’s extremist agenda. Make your voice heard and join a Weekend of Action event: Text ELECT to 644-33!

Eight years ago today, a gunman armed with an AR-15, high-capacity magazines, and three Glock pistols opened fire at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He shot and killed eleven worshippers, some of them Holocaust survivors, and shot and wounded six others.

The mark of this hateful shooting comes days after the 4-year mark of the CVPA High School shooting in St. Louis, MO and the 3-year mark of the deadly shooting in Lewiston, ME. We barely have time to mourn one mass shooting before we grieve another. We should not be forced to live and die this way.

We hold the victims, survivors, and the entire Jewish community of Pittsburgh in our hearts. In their honor, we continue working to #DisarmHate and make sure that no one else will have to experience their pain again.

Three years ago, a man with a Ruger AR-10 and high-capacity magazines opened fire in a bowling alley in Lewiston, Maine. Despite brave attempts to disarm him, he shot and killed eight people and wounded three others. He then shot and killed ten people and wounded ten others at a nearby bar.

It is the deadliest mass shooting in Maine’s history, and Lewiston was forever changed. Four of the people shot and killed at the bar were playing in a New England Deaf Cornhole League game, devastating Maine's tight-knit deaf community.

Our hearts go out to the victims’ loved ones, survivors, and the communities impacted by this horrific and preventable shooting. We continue our fight for common-sense gun laws to make sure that no one else will ever have to experience their pain. #LewistonStrong

Four years ago, a former student armed with an AR-15 and high-capacity magazines opened fire at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School in St. Louis, Missouri. In just a few minutes, a teenage student and a teacher were shot and killed, and seven others were shot and wounded.

We deserve to go to school and learn, not run from bullets, and our teachers deserve to come home from work alive. Alexzandria and Jean should still be alive. We fight to end gun violence in their honor.

Twelve years ago, a student with a Beretta pistol opened fire at lunch at Marysville Pilchuck High School in Marysville, Washington. He killed four students and wounded one other. Classmates later said the shooter was “angry at a girl who would not date him,” and she was one of the teenagers killed.

“We said ‘enough is enough’ after Sandy Hook, and we’re here now again, years later, after the Silver Rail Elementary School shooting where more children lost their lives.” We won’t stop until all our schools are safe.

Oregon students are making it clear: OUR LIVES ARE WORTH MORE THAN GUN LOBBY MONEY! And any lawmaker who doesn’t prioritize our safety will be kicked out of office on November 3. Make your plan to vote for Gun Sense Candidates who will protect us, not guns: Text PLAN to 644-33.

Gretchen Miller’s primal reaction to learning her child was in danger is hard to listen to, but we must not look away. No mother should be forced to experience this kind of trauma, and we will not relent until this is no longer our reality. Text READY to 644-33 to join us.

“I didn't even know my baby was alive for 4.5 hours.” A ring camera caught the sheer panic a mom experienced after learning there was an active shooter at Silver Rail Elementary School.

We’ve become the “mass shooting generation” against our will. We should be safe in our schools, parks, movie theaters, grocery stores — EVERYWHERE! But for too long, our lawmakers have cowered to the gun industry, putting their profit over our lives. Enough is enough.

The three children and one teacher killed in the horrific shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School deserved to come home alive. Honor them by reading and sharing their stories. Give the shooter #NoNotoriety.

Yesterday, the Silver Rail Elementary School community lived through every parent's worst nightmare. When we send our children to school each morning, we deserve to know that they will come home to us alive. This fear and trauma doesn't have to be our normal.

Too many students have been stolen by preventable school shootings. When guns are the #1 killer of American kids and teens, keeping us safe from gun violence should be top priority for every leader elected to represent us. Instead, Congress fails us every day that they refuse to take action.

Three children — ages 5, 8, and 11 — and their teacher didn’t come home to their families last night because this country has decided that mass shootings are an acceptable price to pay for unfettered access to guns.

Nineteen-year-old Ramontreal Hodge deserved a future. His loved ones deserved the chance to watch him grow up. His peers deserve to feel safe. But Ramontreal is now among the countless young people whose lives have been taken by gun violence because craven politicians refuse to take action.

Seven years ago today, police shot and killed Atatiana Jefferson in Fort Worth, Texas. Atatiana was playing video games with her nephew, who witnessed the shooting. Gun violence is gun violence — no matter who pulls the trigger. In honor of Atatiana, we fight to end gun violence in all its forms.

Trump dismissed domestic violence and called it a “lesser” crime in the past. If that were the case, over 70 women wouldn't be dying every month at the hands of an abuser. But they are. Instead of emboldening abusers and undermining survivors, we need to invest in real solutions that keep us safe.
