I don't know which copy of Ocarina of Time I should cancel. Amazon's copy is $10 cheaper, but Best Buy's was placed a little earlier...on the same day. Mostly I'm just worried that I'll save $10 but end up not getting the foil cover. Running out of time to make a decision 😅😩

I haven't signed the Mass Effect petition yet because I feel like it's a monkey's paw situation. The game Bioware was making isn't one of the conditions, simply that EA "commits to the continued development" of Mass Effect. A Mass Effect game without Bioware, and with *Electronic Arts* ? 😬

I have zero faith in Electronic Arts to produce a good Mass Effect game (or show for that matter) without Bioware. They can barely get the things the produce every year right. EA has also never said that the Mass Effect IP was dead so they could easily make an appeasement and then 💩 some 💩

I would almost rather just let Mass Effect exist as it is than see Electronic Arts put it through the meat grinder. Live service Mass Effect hero extraction shooter? Live Service Mass Effect gacha mobile garbage? "Open world" Mass Effect linear shooter (with lootboxes)? Just put me out of my misery

I almost didn't watch it on my phone so I could watch it on my PC with my good speakers. I am very glad I didn't. While I did manage to watch it on my PC before it was taken down, leaving it open on my phone meant I could watch it again. And screen record it. 🖕🏻EA

I've been mourning the loss of Bioware for the last 19 years. I don't know how much of a Ship of Theseus situation there was so I'm not as hurt over the loss of the name itself. What hurts is the loss of the developers. The talent. The IP. The art.

Devs can't do this when expected to make their spinoff into a full sequel in a year and a half. When expected to use an engine for the first time that doesn't do what they need it to. When the scope of the game is changed 8 months before it's released.

I feel like EA never knew how to manage Bioware from the start. Locked an entire on-disc character behind a paywall in ME3, forced them to churn out DA2 in 16 months, repeated reports of dev trouble on Inquisition, Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard. They bought it expecting a cash cow but...

they didn't know how to monetize Bioware games. Because EA doesn't understand that if you just get tf out of the way, artists will create art that people will pay money for. They don't need to "stay engaged." They don't need MAU's. They need story and gameplay that makes people say, "Play this."

Steam Next Fest is kind of bleak to browse though. I hate having to view everything with an air of suspicion. On the flip side, I kind of enjoy hitting "Ignore" and tagging the game with "Generative AI" since I believe it is a term "other users would find useful to browse by."

25. Echo Weaver I think I liked this one better than Well Dweller despite being shorter. Really interesting time loop story/mechanic and abilities you "remember", so you can unlock them before the game gives them to you if you manage to guess how to do them. Had fun! #RolledCredits2026 #Gaming

24. Well Dweller Really solid Metroidvania, especially considering it was made largely by 1 person. Cute, but also disturbing at times (boss designs), fast movement, pretty good story and really my main complaint is that it was short. <10 hours to get the true ending. #RolledCredits2026 #Gaming

The map was way easier to read for me, I had some issues with the Well Dweller one. It's also very much a platformer with little to no combat. No bosses at all, but with the way attacks are done I feel like it would be pretty difficult to get right.
