Ok, so the ending was intriguing. They have just the right amount of twists to carry you into the second season. And with 21 episode seasons, it feels nostalgic, even well developed. I just wish they didn’t lean in so many YA tropes. The slow rot of art 😩

Coven Academy: a cast of characters trapped in the narcissistic manipulation of an emotionally dark main character’s melodramatic masochism, how novel 🙄

The crazy thing about this is how this imagines a world where blackness is a punishment for whiteness; where our ancestors would be just formerly white people damned to suffering; where blackness is just some magic that labors over the wickedness of whiteness for all eternity. It’s racist.

Somebody on TikTok said if white people knew they were going to be reincarnated as a black person, racism would end immediately.

Nobody hornier than a DL Jamaican barber or musician. This man propositioned to cut my hair at my house in the future. 😂 He talking about, “Look down. Do you see it?” Sir, dis/dat is tew much!!! Calm down! Talking about they call him China man. What does that mean?

This is literally the end of the rule of law. If a President can pardon people committing crimes on his behalf - and the Supreme Court says he himself can't be prosecuted for crimes committed as part of his job - then the government becomes a lawless entity able to violate our rights without limit.

New: White House attorneys are evaluating whether to issue mass pardons to junior staffers. https://www.washingtonsun.com/whitehouse/white-house-weighing-mass-pardons-for-junior-staff

FYI, this only becomes an issue if the federal judges fail to do their jobs and the Supreme Court gives him whatever he wants. But to give him what he wants would dissolve the legislative branch and the judiciary branch as we know it. It would literally be a coup by the conservative justices.

Breaking: Trump just sued to block the certification of Alaska’s Senate race — but only if the Republican loses.
