Honored guest stopped by today. This is Yazzie a Navajo-Churro sheep originating from the Spanish breeds given to the Diné people in the 16th century. Churros are another hair sheep breed, not wool. Amazing set of horns and a gentle personality to match. We were thrilled to meet him.

Congrats Giovanni (horse) who delivered his first lamb today! Everyone was enjoying the pasture but Dawn (ewe) snuck back to the pen to have her lamb indoors. Gio saw it & stayed with her throughout labor, even helped clean the lamb with mama. In his honor, the lamb is named Horse. What a team!
