Bolsonaro jr fled to the USA to escape fraud charges. Between Serbia and Brazil, my faith in people's willingness to uphold human rights and democracy is returning. But the likes of Bolsonaro and Trump are so obviously corrupt that it's wild to me they could lead people around so easily.

People matter. You matter. You should be allowed to exist, in safety and security, valued, free, and not under constant siege. Nobody gets to erase your existence like it doesn't matter. No government, no institution, no company, no individual.

Whenever someone talks about the gates of heaven I know they're picturing something fluffy and ethereal but my mind immediately pictures something like in the Neverending Story with spikey dark gothic arches and trivia Sphinxes.

Dear certain Australian #auspol parties and media outlets, Do you honestly think it is moral and ethical and okay to let migrants and migrant families subsume all the financial frustrations of poor Australians? No? Then stop fucking playing political games and start actually solving problems.

Migration is an issue you can have differing political views on, but not like this. Not when it is being used as a loaded gun against the heads of my migrant friends and colleagues. Fuck you for these stupid games when you know they have devastating real world consequences.

If I'm being level headed about it, I'd advise not to chase migration as a competition because PHON is not tethered to practical realities and will just say whatever to get in power and do whatever if they get there. Ultimately PHON are Rinehart's party so she'd be the policy architect.

Sometimes I can tell where my head's at with what genre I'm going through. With Romance I know I need something as sweet and simple (or complicated) as love & desire. With Fantasy it's me needing to work through a mix-and-match of societies but also be removed (+dragons). It's Cyberpunk atm.

Which tells me I am anxious about how much power the elites have. I like the game I'm playing though, Nivalis Nights, which is 'cozy', accept not because it's Cyberpunk, so it hands you a massive debt and helping each other out is functionally illegal— which does make collaboration feel subversive.

I think I just really need people to remember how bad Nazis were. The death camps, Imperialism, eugenics and phrenology as medical policy, the literal breeding factories (did you know the lead singer in ABBA was born in one of those?), the gestapo. How there's a reason Nazis like PHON #auspol.

Gina Rinehart buying PHON an entire evil headquarters is just on the nose at this point. Really, this whole far-right movement has been on the nose. I have some literary criticisms.

If Hegseth's goal is to project strength and instill fear, I don't feel it because it's derivative, sad, and weak to copy-paste Germany's homework. If the goal was to satirise US fascism, it works really well because it is over-the-top, the message is clear, and the overcompensation is tangible.

It's as Nemik's manifesto says in Andor, "The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear."

Know what, I am going to critique this image like I would a frustrating book. So Nazi Germany was heavily inspired by Fascist Italy, but they are an ultra-nationalist movement. They came up with their (well, Hitler's) spin on Mussolini's ideas so that it would become Germany's fascist movement.

Spain, Brazil, Germany, UK, Australia, etc.. all happened to have the same grievances, right wing talking points, and suddenly cashed up fringe nationalist parties at the same time, coincidentally coinciding with Trump's election and endorsement, and US-like stunts and aggressive disinformation...

Why does this not count as foreign interference when if China pulled this we'd be at war already? I would like politics and the media and the public to stop falling for obvious astroturfing when they're not even hiding it. They see this as business as usual for them so they're pretty open about it.

Sometimes I look at discourse and want to just— there are very few politicians and journalists I like and respect in Australia. I am absolutely on the left (I took a test because I'm a neurospicy nerd) but Labor is not the LNP. #auspol

Labor, at the least, is not playing that game. Is not denying the undeniable that is climate change. Wants an educated public because they know it'll be beneficial in the long-term. Is not using marginalised identities as a political punching bag. Do not want women back to being wombs for a state.

Perhaps it doesn't seem like much, but it is an important distinction to me. And I am honestly disappointed and disheartened that it is not as much of an important distinction to those who say they are leftists.

This matters to me. Not only because it's filthy politics that actively leads to the oppression and killing of civilians. But also because they are using cruelty and grievance farming as a smokescreen and distraction while they do whatever they want.

They don't want an informed public. An educated public. A wealthy public. A democracy. They want bread and circuses. An easier to control and distract public. A trapped by circumstances public. A hierarchy they get to dictate the terms of.

However, ask trans people and immigrants and women and the whole freaking world if having Democrats in power would be the same as having the US Republicans in power. It's not.

The Australian Liberal party have gone all in on climate denial, on weirdo misogynistic Christian Nationalism (in one of the more no-religious countries no less), on bashing up on a fraction of a percentage of the Australian population (like an asshole). PHON are worse because they are Gina's party.

Conflation of them is only going to push the discourse and the people further right. Rural Australia, as a whole, will not vote for the Greens. Especially not with how I've heard people here talk about rural Australians. Labor has problems, and its neutrality sides it with the aggressor, always.

I don't hate the elites. I find it hard to muster hatred for anyone. I hate the careless death and destruction they cause. I certainly don't envy them as they say. It seems like, ironically, a poorer existence for a heart— hollow.

Mostly I'm just accepting of how they see me, and everyone that isn't them. A sim. NPC. Expendable. Unreal. Every moment I am living my life in a way that is not materially beneficial to them is a waste of time, money, and resources they could be making from me. Accepting this is freeing in a way.

In Ancient Rome members of the Patrician classes would buy a Plebeian for the Plebeian council to act entirely in their financial interests. That is essentially what Gina Rinehart has done with Pauline Hanson. #auspol

Families that now cannot afford fuel on top of not being able to afford groceries and still somehow blame the last administration for it when Trump has historically lost the USA two (TWO!) of its trade routes in the last year alone.

I am begging people. Please, whatever you vote for, research first, understand what your own values and needs and interests are #auspol. Vote to build something for your community, and not to destroy it.

The USA has done that. They have elected a wrecking ball to regulations. Now there are protections from the wealthiest members of their society that have been utterly destroyed and that they will never get back. Relationships with allies that they will never get back. A sense of peace that's lost.

Farmers in rural USA that are going bankrupt and continue to partition the government because they still somehow believe that the Trump administration was acting on their behalf instead of using their anger and grievances as a wrecking ball.

Anyone who thinks Rinehart will act in the interest of poor working and rural families or fix anything about our system knows nothing about politics and how the wealthiest members of our society have always acted throughout history. At best it's naivety, at worst self-destruction.

Not that I want to entertain the #auspol migration debate because it is trumped up and doesn't solve the issues that people actually have. But one of the biggest causes of migration is war and global and national instability, so you'd think the anti-migration crowd would want to avoid those things.

Governments, religious institutions, and companies that commit murder are just as bad as individuals that commit murder and should be punished accordingly. Any body of people who are attempting to dismantle the mechanisms we put in place to ensure accountability should be viewed with suspicion.

God does not exist. We create our environment. We create our society. We create beliefs to justify ourselves. We can either take ownership and create a society that is as just as possible, or keep putting our fate in the hands of powerful and delusional assholes who only know the language of money.

They do not want governments to be able to regulate them for the benefit of the people. That was part of the point of the scary mongering. To cast themselves as the only ones who know how to manage and regulate the technology. It is also why they hate regulatory bodies like the UN and EU (and AUS).

AI has the potential to change society in a seismic way and I do not believe it can be stopped. The consequences, however, will be similar to the industrial revolution. At the moment it's in the hands of a radicalized group of billionaires whose delusions we have normalised and accommodated.

These people literally believe in the anti-christ. There are those in that circle that are active accelerationists. Meaning they want and are trying to bring about the end of the world. But this technology is not theirs to own. It was built in collaboration and with our collective humanity.
