playing the second half of Wind Waker

dgmw it’s actually refreshing they leaned into the open world aspect in the back half with the triforce quest - tho it may have been more engaging if an NPC didn’t immediately mail you a map of where to find all the pieces

please don’t tell me how that bloodborne linux port got made. it runs basically perfectly on the steam deck and its all i ever wanted and if you tell me its slop i’ll cry.

spent like two days getting it running with shadps4 on steam deck, installing mods/patches that basically tear the game down to the floorboards and still it’s only semi-playable. then bbport comes out and it’s like zero-setup 50+ fps with the full graphics suite

i will resume objecting to all these slop decomps when spooky season is over

kojima got so sick of people ignoring the stealth aspect of his games he made one where getting caught basically causes the world to explode

perfect amount of references to the games - from the obvious “what’s up with all these padlocks” to the more subtle usage of broken down cars as course boundaries

elevator scene (complete with two identical monsters attacking the player on a loop) was definitely the most “video-games” set piece, but definitely earned by everything leading up to it
