Pre 9/11, you could bring backpacks to Wolves games. I’d fill mine with a container of leftovers for dinner and a 6 pack of beer. Ride my bike to the game from Uptown, and later, the Northside. Watch KG terrorize opponents. Smoke a heater with Britt on the “patio.” Bliss.

At what point do you question both the preparation of the players and OKC’s medical staff and trainers? No other team faces these types of injuries, both nagging and catastrophic, year after year after year.

Thunder Injury Report vs. Mavericks Alex Caruso (Ankle sprain) OUT Chet Holmgren (Knee Patellar Tendinitis) OUT Ajay Mitchell (Ankle sprain) Questionable Thomas Sorber (Knee) OUT Nikola Topic (Back) OUT Cason Wallace (Shoulder) OUT Jalen Williams (Ankle) OUT

Three Thunder players had to leave this game because of the Clippers reckless play. Obviously Dub’s injury looks like a season ending thing, but Cason’s shoulder/collar bone didn’t look good either. Fucking insane how the refs were letting this shit slide from the jump.

Noting that the Clipps, primarily Jackson, Dunn, and Jones Jr. were reckless all night. Jackson was called for 4-5 dangerous moving screens. Dunn is always a headhunter. The refs did nothing to reel them in. Now a DOA team just took out the favorite to come out of the West. Officiating malpractice.

The best case scenario for OKC and Ajay Mitchell is that he finds his groove offensively and becomes the tantalizing piece in a package for a money controlled bigger wing, imo. I just don’t have a ton of faith in 6 foot 3 guards that rely on driving to the basket as their only offensive weapon.

What in the holy hell is wrong with these dipshits?

Also, Wempy growling at himself after Mara swatted him was some next level “this dude is about to commit a heinous diabolical murder” sociopath shit that I have not witnessed in a while. A weird dude. His PR team will have him writing poetry via quill atop a mountain peak tomorrow, no doubt.

I don’t think this game means all that much other than SGA is still the best player in basketball, and OKC is still very, very good. Noteworthy how bad Ajay looked, and how amazing McCain was. Chet battled. That’s all you want.

So much of MVP or “face” discourse is narrative driving by “media” with skin in the game. Anointing Wempy before any games have been played is absolutely bizarre, but par for the course for media machine that is pay to play.

Reminder that Wempy’s logo 3 to tie game 1 of the WCF happened solely because Chet was lying on his back under the other basket trying to get a call, causing Caruso to have to play too deep. Chet was horrible in that series, but that one play probably flipped it. None of that shit this year, please.

Gavin Newsom backs measure to kill the billionaire tax and ban future wealth taxes Gov. Gavin Newsom isn't just fighting the billionaire tax. He's backing Prop. 42, which would ban future wealth taxes in California, too.

Ajay’s $ is too good to move, but all things being equal, I’d flip him for a bigger wing defender that can hit the corner 3. He doesn’t provide much that OKC doesn’t already have, and playing him with Shai is just too much iso. I know PDX has a million guards, but Toumani would be sweet on OKC.

My picks: MVP: SGA (3rd consecutive) ROY: Caleb Wilson DPOY: Wemby 6MOY: Harper MIP: Jaden McDaniels COY: Quin Snyder Clutch: Ant Scoring Title: Luka West: 1. OKC (4th consecutive) 2. Spurs 3. Wolves 4. Houston 5. Denver 6. Lakers 7. Suns 8. Portland 9. Utah 10. Dallas Finals: OKC over Atl in 5.

When did First Ave tix start costing 88-150 American dollars? Back in MY day I saw Fugazi 3 nights in a row for like $6 a night. All of your hip hop heroes were like $8-12 tickets. This isn’t just inflation. Common answer is lack of venues and predatory fees, but that can’t be the full story.

I think my favorite Wolves this season are Jaden and Joan. No histrionics, no goofy one legged 30 footers, no peacocking after every goddamn play. Just business. Straight business. They are two of the most valuable players on the roster for now and the future.

Rudy is like the Mill Valley yoga mom that flew so close to the crystal and essential oil sun that they wound up injecting horse jizz in their foreheads and eating roadkill for clarity and balance.

Psst: Mike Conley and DDV were both infamous floppers under Chris Finch.

Dilly getting dumped by Chicago after a handful of games where he seemed to pop a bit is probably a testimony there isn’t much hope for the lad. All-world whiff by Tim Connelly as a draft trade, all-world win to turn that micro-guy into Ayo.
