You can be opposed to the Iranian regime AND the reckless bombing of school kids. You can support the troops AND be opposed to sending them into senseless wars. You are not an antisemite if you decry the Israeli regime’s genocidal rampage. Don’t let morons impose their idiotic view of the world.

Okay, so: 1) fertilizers are in shortage; 2) E15 comes from corn fed with fertilizers; 3) land used to grow corn for ethanol produces 3.2% of the energy generated by covering the same amount of land with solar panels. With all respect, what are we doing here?

anthropocenemagazine.orgNew study compares growing corn for energy to solar production. It’s no contest. In fact, it would require about 31 hectares of corn ethanol to produce the same amount of energy generated by one hectare of land covered in solar panels.
Amy Klobuchar@amyklobuchar.com

I called on the Administration to make E15 available to drivers this summer to curb rising fuel costs. Today they announced they are doing just that. This is good for American consumers and farmers. Next, we must pass my bipartisan bill to permanently allow year round E15.

The Rosedale school rezoning will be going before the Zoning & Platting Commission this Tuesday NIMBYs are asking the City to block the rezoning while they fight the School District in court to enforce language in the racist 1938 deed restriction. AISD needs the rezoning to close their budget gap.

People will really say in public, in front of God and everybody, that more teachers should be fired and more kids should lose their school because they don’t want to see a six-story building in their neighborhood

Please speak up for Rodney. A year in an ICE camp is beyond comprehension. Public pressure works. If enough people speak up, a life may be saved. Many of the deaths in ICE custody have been due to medical neglect… let’s make sure Rodney isn’t one of them.

With CECOT being in the news, I want to repost this article my wife wrote about our adopted kids' birth father. He finished a prison sentence and was deported to El Salvador and landed in CECOT. If anyone can help with this, please contact me. We're feeling pretty helpless.

Can't help but notice that the media breathlessly reporting on the messages that shooters write on their bullets seems to have been followed by a surge of shooters writing messages on bullets

Last week, over 1,000 Texans testified against the GOP’s rigged redistricting plan. Republicans ignored them and passed it anyway. Texas Democrats left the state to block it, and now Abbott is threatening to remove them. This is not normal. Call. Donate. Protest. #ComeAndTakeIt #TexasDemocrats

Casar: "This idea of fining legislators -- and now I'm starting to hear about the governor or the speaker of the house trying to expel lawmakers from office -- is deeply unconstitutional and it is part of a worrying trend ... it's the kind of authoritarian thing that we think about in other nations"

This illegal map is a direct attack on the Voting Rights Act, suppresses the voice of thousands of Texans, and hurts black and brown communities the most. We need to keep speaking out and letting Republicans know this map cannot stand. I’ll keep fighting. This is not over.

A bill that would dramatically redraw Texas’ congressional maps has advanced in the GOP-led House of Representatives, increasing the chances that Democrats will break quorum to deny Republicans the minimum number of legislators needed for the House to function.
