My baby slapped me on my eyeball with a wet hand this morning. I have broken so many bones and i think I preferred that experience.

I learned Logic Pro at Berklee and it's fine. Final Cut too (though I'd argue DaVinci is far better at this point FOR FREE). I won't speak to Pixelmator (haven't used). But why are Numbers, Pages, and Keynote in here? Freeform too? These are products I can't get them to stop trying to give me.

The student pricing of $30/yr is excellent, though. I just don't understand the value of this packaging for anyone else in 2026.

There are flavors I don't like but I understand why people like them and what they bring to the table... and then there's white chocolate. It improves nothing. It brings no benefit. We, as humans, should cease production of it.

Finally replaced my old Amplifi router with a couple UniFi Express 7s and it turns out I had been straight up throttling myself by holding onto that thing for so long.

Welp. I figured Alec'd see my review and have this take but didn't expect to get subtweeted.

My dad sent me a video where someone reviews stand mixers and they were complaining about the app one of them had. Excuse me while I throw up.

i reversed my gear ratios in a video that I can't update and lemme tell you, there is no one less fun than the type of commenter who doesn't look through the other comments first. dozens of messages letting me know the same thing that i am already kicking myself for and can do nothing about.

one (1) very specific website feature on my todo list today. so far, i've... - doodled a stand mixer i wish existed - researched costs of self-publishing a cookbook series - looked through our wedding photos (bc anniversary yday) - talked sarah's ear off about all 3 of these things - this tweet

i never thought i'd be a sports person, but between getting back into f1 after a decade and now major league balatro... i'm really getting into at least the fringes of what can be called a sport.

Yesterday I checked off my entire to-do list for a very packed day by 6pm. Today, I don't have a ton to do, and yet I've only checked off lunch and walk the dog.

It'd be really cool if literally any tech press folks talked to scientists working on genAI rather than just CEOs (or even just learned to read research papers). After like 5 minutes, they'd know "superintelligence" isn't in the cards in any transformer-based system.

Is there a reason not to see DeepSeek as mere commoditization? Like... of course if you've laid out the map half a dozen times then someone with incentives will find a speedrun strat to that same end...

We have 300k more followers there than anywhere else, but it's not our best content. Unbothered by its loss.

I have heard privately from a lot of creators that they are actually…relieved. It has always seemed to care about the engines of its culture less than other platforms, which makes sense because the thing it is best at (discovery) means it is always very easy to replace the people who burn out.

dear @netflix.com, "next episode" should go to the *next episode*, not the first unplayed episode in a show's entire run. Trying to watch a season straight through should not require manual intervention between every single episode.

One thing that cutting off shitty family members has been great for is learning that you don't actually owe literally anyone a relationship. It's extremely freeing to just not continue relationships that feel bad.

every time I run into something even mildly inconvenient in a digital product, I daydream about going through a whole interview loop just to submit a PR when I get there and then leave.

We constantly get asked "is x induction-compatible?" from people who clearly bought a whole fucking cooktop without understanding how it works AT ALL and I do not understand how they got into this position.
