Apparently the growth formula for unrecruiteds in fw is basically 80% of their growths. They genuinely went out of their way to make reverse-engage (where every other chapter you get a unit so strong it obsoletes your entire army).

I’ve made up my mind, maddening mode should be: -the exact same enemies with the exact same stats -EVERYONE, even units you have, with their growths at x0.8 -no turns/paralogues/quests/nothing in between chapters, only what you’d get in the war arc. -elephants/charioteers can same-turn charge.

Dramatic Irony cannot be underestimated as a literary tool cause every clip of h3 flirting with that girl on stream in front of his wife is wilder than the previous one IF you know what followed but would otherwise be mind-bogglingly boring on its own. Insane that they had ANY viewers at all.

Alexandra is the reverse favoritism hire. End up using her as filler in every route and she has shit offensive growths in every route but still gets a lot of work done because flying is just that good.

You know after having both Catania and Nydine as favoritism units for two routes, I can safely say I have no clue how people were saying Ninae is bad. She’s no Buccar (hard to beat +5 def for free) but put her in an armor and she just tanks, what more do you want.

Stupid complaint invalidated by the fact thousands were introduced to the series just fine by recent entries but it feels like the last good introduction to fire emblem was Fates, every game since being so weird/unfocused that it’s not all that representative.

The bottom line is that I’m ultimately underestimating audiences and they’re mostly just fine with (or even prefer) all these weird minigames and time traveling. If anything they probably weren’t gonna make it anyway if they can’t get behind it.

Sofia kirkenuinely the best unit averaged across routes. She does one thing really well, easy to recruit because she loves every single food, and even when joining late she can still do her thing really well, usually even better than others.
