SurrealEmber 🌠 Commissions open!

Pixelween is over, so I'm posting all of my entries 1 by 1 Week 0's theme - frame for all of the paintings Palette: #sparkling09 #pixelart

Squidly is still active in Lospec, and seeing as how no mod action was taken because it was "3 years ago and off-server" I figured I'd share this to warn others about his behavior.

This post is unavailable.

still open, pls help if you're able to

Pixelween, the scariest pixel art contest with prizes starts a little early this year. You can still join. pixeljoint.com/2026/09/14/7...

A while ago I've managed to archive some of them from my parents' old phones, Nokia 6230 and Siemens A65 Took a long time since I didn't have any of the right cables or software to extract the files themselves, so I recreated them pixel by pixel

WebDesignMuseum@webdesignmuseum.org

Who remembers these little pixel art pictures on their old mobile phone? No apps. No emoji packs. Just skulls, weed leaves, sexy logos and Madonna ringtones. The early 2000s were something else.

One of the more insidious phrasings I've seen with the Dems/trans rights discourse lately is the idea that trans people are being greedy and demanding a "maximalist" approach to trans rights. No, you cannot call the state of rights American trans people had as recently as 2023 "maximalist," sorry.

just looked into a VN engine i've heard of a lil and turns out it "uses AI generated code extensively" :/ took 1 google search so i feel dumb i am aware about the "a person has to approve it" thing, doesn't mean i have to like it

Girl why is there some AI bot nonsense on Pixilart. I stopped uploading there for a while, but I did it today on a whim, and some vile automated creature left a comment under my post. I already didn't like the website, won't be using it anymore for sure.

Seems like it has been around for a while, I guess I didn't notice??

Commission for @medicinestorm.bsky.social #pixelart

Update: The fundraiser is still going, but it's much less urgent. Trying to raise at least $400 to help me deal with debt The discount is over, but I've been testing Easystaff for commissions, so I can receive Paypal payments now and not just card ones. I'll update the TOS later.

EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER I found myself in a precarious life situation I need to urgently pay for bills and supplies, and pay off my debt ASAP $50-100 are the most immediate goals, +$100 is to secure next month, the total is $600 surrealember.carrd.co#commissions (-20%) hipolink.net/copheemoth/t...

I'm aware of the moral compromise I'm making by being a ru artist receiving funds from abroad. While I'm a part of a vulnerable demographic (gay, nonbinary, dependant on homophobic family), I refuse stand for people who are minimizing russia's invasion of Ukraine to protect their "blorbos".

Yes, it's illegal to criticise the invasion, but not saying anything is cowardly. It's perfectly understandable why others wouldn't take well to silence. I've spoken out about it since 2022, and the only reason I don't do it often anymore is because I thought people stopped listening.

I'm not going to martyr myself for the greater good, but I'm not going to abandon all sense of morality because "people online are mean to me" either. It's your choice to pay/donate to me or not. While I do need to leave, I can't force you to help me, and I understand if you don't want to.

People are talking about renpy using some (limited) amount of AI code and I see some friends confused and stressed because they're concerned with being able to offer things to people "AI Free". I think looking at your entire software chain like that isn't useful and is just going to drive you mad.

i want to see imperishable night receive this treatment eventually, that was the one with my favorite atmosphere tbh i am less trusting of ZUN after the whole touhou 20 thing but i have hope for this

Kars@karoshimyriad.bsky.social

New circle Shanghai Alice Reprise with members ZUN and JYUNYA was created to make Touhou Project games playable on modern platforms. Their first title "Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic - the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil" includes both a remake and a faithful recreation of the original Touhou 6 game.
