Svea 2001: Haiku for Everyone.

Floating pearl of night nestled in nocturnal light beckoning to sleep moonstruck with euphoria stirs wild dreams and visions

Rough and tumble girl riding down the storm, she will break its will

Conceived of pollen nector slumbers in hives' womb; honey wines' cradle

Out of time, not place forever drifting along in October's chill seeking foes long departed in an alley at high noon

Quiet, dark and deep somewhere ever winding this path I have chosen

Could this be karma? What in the world did I do? Gummy gob of goop trapped by the summer pavement fouling my coveted shoe!

Lowland symphony tuning-up the universe; music of the night

Lone; never lonely The paths I roam are my own The night is my realm

The spellbound places something ends, something begins; places in between the place between where the heavens skim the mountains peak... where the ocean wave touches the first grains of shores sand... where sunshine arrives and shadows fleet away... Magic; simple and real!

Garden in the Sky A gift from the universe of blessed succor Domain of peaceful dreaming; my own private nirvana

Amber glow embraced in each sip of sweet black tea the taste of small trees of leaves bathed in gentle rain nurtured on a mountain side

Drifting in aromatic slipstreams, cardamom and cumin cloud dreams

Hunters in the night Sensing that which is unseen between dusk and dawn

Dancing on water foot-loose frosty fandango; Michigan winter

Fools always tempt fate There are always longer ships Always tides that turn Always stars that align over more propitious skies

Such a painful year! Much misery and discord; Let's bring back streaking!

Autumn bonfire Hickorys' bacon-like scent caramelized air mingles with piney essence evoke nostalgia

Last walk in the woods Autumns smokey aroma swirling around me, bathing me in vibrant hues of scarlet and golden flax

The wind has freshened The snow has fifty three names; each brings its own joy

The veil is thinning! Setting sun to setting sun; Blessed Samhain Eve!

Urban light river seeping between sky titans trickling thru windows dripping down onto the streets flowing with the traffic stream

Free floating away calved off from the mother pack drifting lazily into the southern slip stream changing the shape of water

Breathing so deeply the scent of moss and sunshine autumnal flavors of golden smokey sweetness kiss of caramelized air

Artemis beckons I peek thru the night forest becoming spellbound

The glacier slumbers No crunch of snow underfoot, no cracking seracs The silently gliding wind skims the glistening ice lake

Willowy whispers like windchimes of tiny shells afloat on aether lilting around and about adrift in forest voices

Trilogy of a Siberian February A storm is coming Shadows of anxiety dimming mornings light Fears of winters past blizzards are stirred to awakenings

Icy driven sleet pecks against the shuttered panes like mad, crazed ravens Rafters moan under snows weight Wind tortured chinked joints whimper

After storm silence is gently nudged aside Villagers' soft sighs are much more felt than heard The peaceful taiga returns

The Green Man cometh! scent of mossy earth and pine, faint patchouli air the Wheel of Being evoked; each joy thru out the journey

Indaglow evening moon floating in ombre' sky; cerulean dreams

The box was so light An entire human life, a few pounds of ash On a desert path I wove a trail of ashes, a soft last farewell

Aromatic haze of golden tabac floating lazily in room Touch of leather, sip of scotch; easing down at close of day

NO MORE YELLOW SNOW! You didn't heed our warnings! Head for your dog house!

Thunder in the snow, lightning melting mountain ice; a strange winters night

Flashing 'cross heaven like distant firey arrows fall flaming to Earth

Whispering echoes ripple across canyon walls; ancestors speaking

No! Say it's not so! We keep dismissing his myth! Again he pops up!

The halo forespeaks rain for the thirsty desert; so always is told

Meet up at Tycho! Rove over; come as you are! The Moonshine will flow!

Gilded copper hues of day's end diffuse sunlight dust the high desert

My well worn jacket leathers fresh scent now faded tangled, tattered fringe easing on so naturally fits me like an old friends hug

Bump, knock tap-tap-tap; Spirits of Tombstone ride high! Bird Cage midnight haunts

As summers day ends crickets sing at eventide scent of sweet moist earth filling me with thankfulness nestle into the lofts hay

Soothing, hypnotic thrumming of the wooden bridge 'neath my bike's tires like a pleasant shiver rippling up from toes to chin

Midnight hot-tubbing water floating in the air cheeks flushed and ruddy sinking chin deep in bubbles that pop and mist my lashes

I dreamt of something so kind and gentle I wept, such warmth I so craved When I awoke it lingered guiding me thru this new day

Slipping toward slumber, dreams will be gilded and bright under midnights sun
