@anthropic.com announced earlier this week that you can now export Claude Platform traces via the magic of #OpenTelemetry. Curious how to get those traces into Bronto? It's so easy our step-by-step video is only 30 seconds!

✨ OpenTelemetry's vendor neutrality at work ✨ Claude Platform's OTel support was announced a day ago, with some partners who had a head start to announce their integration. But this is OTel, so everyone can join! We tested it, documented it and now support it:-) bronto.io/blog/sending...

Got years of @grafana dashboards you don't want to rebuild when you switch? Keep them. Here's how Gary Nicholls used AI to build our Grafana plugin, from a blank directory to a working prototype in a few hours: bronto.io/blog/how-i-used-ai-to-quickly-build-a-grafana-data-source-plugin-for-bronto

We'll be at #SREcon in Dublin next week, talking about observability for the agentic era! Stop by Booth #4580 to say hi to the team and grab a Bronto plushie to take home.

I don't need PowerPoint or Google Slides anymore!:-) Took the time to write down my current workflow on how I build slides with Slidev and a LLM. By now I build my last five presentations that way and I am overall happy with how it works and what you can do! Read it here: svrnm.com/blog/creatin...

Observability data is multidimensional, changing over time, and often growing at high volumes. We built a polymorphic database that can adapt to optimize how this data is stored to ensure fast search and record efficiency. Read how we designed it here: bronto.io/blog/brontod...

TIL, this is a key feautre in GitHub to ensure that coding agent and code review agent play along well. Works far better than asking them in their rules file to do so.

The TRACEPARENT environment variable is not only used in your CI/CD pipeline, a coding agent can use it to propagate context to your tools. Did a short video on it:-)

I'll be at HumanX in Amsterdam next week, giving out little brontos and talking about observability:-)

We had a great time at #LDX3 by @leaddev.com! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to learn about Bronto's new approach to observability. Next up... #HumanX in Amsterdam

The OpenTelemetry Demo 3.0 is out, and yes, we broke it! In this blog post we share the highlights of what changed in the 3.0 release. And if you're a vendor using the Demo to showcase your OTel support, here's your call to action: Please update your instructions. buff.ly/gSt6uFX

What a great video about notifications and alerts. While @mskayyali.com addresses notifications on phones with it, there is so much to learn for any kind of alerting, including what we do in the Observability Space. A must watch!

I made an observation the other day, that many open source repositories provide an AGENTS(dot)md, but not something equivalent for humans. I wrote about it, and came to the conclusion that, there is no need for HUMANS(dot)md svrnm.com/blog/humans....

A lab and a blog post about turning traces into helpful insights about your SQL queries: something I worked on for the last few weeks is finally published on the Causely blog and on GitHub, for you to use and copy:-)

Causely@causely.ai

Slow SQL queries degrade UX & reliability. This guide shows how to distill #OpenTelemetry DB spans into actionable metrics: build span-derived slow-query dashboards, rank queries by traffic impact, and detect regressions with anomaly baselines. Lab included. www.causely.ai/blog/how-to-...

See how Causely continuously builds an always-on service graph (services, infra, and data flows) and combines it with traces, metrics, and logs to pinpoint the exact regression, its blast radius, and the causal path — with clear, explainable reasoning in seconds.

I also took a look back into previous reports, what has changed year over year: * 2024 report: 39% in production & 23% evaluating * 2023 report: 32% in production & 29% evaluating * The 2022 report looked back 3 years, stating OTel was used or evaluated by 4% in 2020, 14% in 2021 and 20% in 2022
