After 12 years of service to the people of Edmonton-Manning, I have decided to not seek re-election and pass on leadership to the next generation. While I will no longer be seeking elected office, my commitment to our community will not end. #ableg #abag

Over the last seven years, the UCP has broken health care. We don’t need to tell you that. You see it every day — when booking a doctor’s appointment, visiting an ER, calling an ambulance, or waiting for months to get surgery. We have a plan to transform health care and deliver results ⬇️ /1

It was great to be out in Cy Becker earlier today enjoying the sunshine, meeting with constituents, and hearing their concerns. Thank you to everyone who took the time to connect. I always appreciate these conversations and the chance to hear what matters most to you.

“I’m not neutral. I’m not going to be a bystander in this. We are going to actively pursuading the public that this is the direction we want to go.” “This is the position of our government.”

Democracy in Alberta is at stake. Under the UCP government, the decision to reject a majority report on electoral boundaries and move toward a new, more partisan process has raised serious questions about fairness and representation.

Smith and the UCP government have also shot down every proposal we’ve made to reduce youth unemployment. They’d rather focus on rigging the next election than actually solving the problems Albertans face every day.

Albertans need relief at the pumps. It's why we're calling on the government to remove the provincial gas tax. That’s 13 cents per litre, or $300+ a year for the average family. This simple measure would provide relief for businesses, in agriculture, truckers, and anyone who commutes by car.

An independent commission did its job and delivered fair electoral maps. But Danielle Smith and the UCP want to ignore them and redraw the map. They think they need to cheat to win. The government should accept those maps, without question. Don’t let them take your vote and your voice.

I wish everyone who is celebrating a joyful Easter today. This is a time to reflect on the positive possibilities that lie ahead and to celebrate the hope and opportunities that are ahead of us. May the spirit of Easter bring comfort, peace, and renewed energy to you, your family, and your friends.

Thank you to the Child Advocacy Society of the University of Alberta for inviting me to present at their seminar. My presentation focused on preventing child abuse in Alberta. These are difficult conversations, but they are needed to bring awareness to the issue.

I extend my thoughts to all who are observing Good Friday today. It is a meaningful day for reflection about sacrifice, humility, and grace. May the significance of this day deepen your faith and renew hope for brighter days ahead.

We need a government that respects teachers and treats them as the professionals they are. Bill 25 is unnecessary, insulting, and only adds more work with no new support.

Farmers across Alberta are facing growing challenges from Richardson Ground Squirrel infestations, impacting crops, infrastructure, and even safety. I’m pushing for real solutions, including better control tools, stronger federal advocacy, and expanded support for producers.

Today, my staff and I delivered spring lilies and met with first responders and community leaders in Edmonton-Manning. Thank you to Kuhlmann's Greenhouse Garden Market for the beautiful flowers.

Alberta’s farmers are at the heart of our economy and our communities. It was great spending time with canola leaders and hearing directly from the people who keep this province growing.

Today I visited Horse Hill School to speak with grade 6 students. We discussed how bills become laws. The kids have great questions. Thank you for inviting me!

I’ve heard from constituents who are concerned. When a childcare program fails to meet standards, parents must know if abuse occurred. They also need to know if a program has a history. Parents need more information to make informed decisions about their child’s safety.

The UCP government’s 2026 budget leaves Alberta with a $9.4B deficit that will take generations to repay. Instead of solutions, Danielle Smith and the UCP look for someone else to blame. Albertans deserve better.
