Go! My Creations! is DONE After a year of design and testing, my new RPG is out and available! All artwork is by the incredible @infinitebrians.neocities.org (check him out). My print order is in the works, and I'll be debuting the physical edition at MAGfest! greenintern.itch.io/go-my-creati...

At great and terrible risk of being wrong after I sleep on it, I think Go! My Creations! is DONE. I will do a proper announcement post and all that once I am 101% sure and send it to the printer tomorrow. Too fried from the final touches and proofing today

Spookum's Week starts in a scant 108 hours. In 4 and a half days. I have a ton of things prepared and ready to go. It's my favorite time of the year and some of the best stuff I do all year. Minimum of 80 hours for the last week of October. Be there for a great time! docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

people be like "we should make an exception to the rules of planets so pluto can be one again". this is bullshit. pluto doesn't deserve it instead we should make an exception just to exclude mercury from being a planet. that thing's an asshole who gives a flying fuck about it. dumbass space rock

Dragon's Dogma 1 was a game that had dope bones but was hampered by a lot of strange design decisions. Dark Arisen fixed most of those design decisions. Dragon's Dogma 2 was a game that had dope bones but hampered by similar decisions. Dark Arisen fixed most of those decisions. Time is a flat circle

the last time caves of qud got new starting character options was like 7 years ago iirc, so this is extremely appreciated

Announcing Caves of Qud: Diaspora. 🌱 Wishlist on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/5249200/...

I just played a really cool demo. I don't do many streams of demos, next fest or otherwise, but upon being alerted to Wēlandes it immediately caught my eye as something I had to check out. A language-translate puzzle game where the language is just Old English. store.steampowered.com/app/5247680/...

When this comes out fully it's going to be the absolute favorite video game of like 20 people in the world who will swear by it for the rest of their lives. The same genre of person for whom that game was Loom in the 90s, I think.

fuck's quest ii fucks. genuinely hilarious video game that's also impressively Fun while the secret behind the lockpicking minigame made me laugh the hardest, i think my single favorite joke in it is the search history on fuck's cousin's computer. "hot girl obituaries" got me so hard

Fuck's Quest II is a game on Steam store.steampowered.com/app/3545150/...

I've lined up a minimum of 37 games for RPG Maker Horror Block this year for Spookum's Fest. That's 37 -right now-, and I'm gonna be looking for more, and have more as backups as well. Despite the massive 12-hour timeslot of it, I'm absolutely not going to be running out any time soon.

thinking about the comment on youmu's entry in whispered oracle and smiling serenely youmu's longer sword, roukanken, surely must be a cursed sword because of its origins. except no one can tell because youmu is too dumb to be cursed by the unfathomable power of the demon blade

Thanks y'all, that was fantastic. The lockpicking minigame reveal in Fuck's Quest 2 is absurdly funny.

On the marathon on Tuesday, I'll be playing Case of the Golden Idol, and some of its spinoffs. The same incentive that was open during Sabre Day will be open during this marathon, and it'll contribute as well to the special incentive open during Spookum's Week for the backseat cooking stream.

I like being candid about my financial situation as it comes up, and y'all, it's a rough one right now. July did amazing, and I appreciate that enormously! But July was also a month were I had to pay for a ton of things all at the same time, as is typical of like all major marathon stuff I do.

I don't really need to do an emergency fundraiser or anything, and people should always take care of themselves first. It's just that I'm really quite low on funds and I'd appreciate that if people were holding off for a special occasion that they treat the 22nd as that special occasion.

don't you fucking dare touch anything in that account i have that money set aside for my orbs and spheres budget i swear to god

cooking PSA: using the right amount of salt in your food is 80% of making it taste good. you can be bad at almost every aspect of cooking, but if you salt your food right every time, you're better than a lot of people you can't 'skip salt'. you only don't add salt if you're using salty ingredients

if you don't know what the right amount of salt is, then taste as you cook. can't do this with everything, but for a lot, you can and if you want a good rule of thumb on what the right amount is anyway, it's 1% to 2% by weight of what you're cooking depending on preference. that's what 'to taste' is

i'm glad that EoSD New Classic exists. it's good to have a QOL release of an older game that doesn't really run on modern systems without extensive patching that you can purchase. what i'm not looking forward to is the aggressive reinforcement of All SDM Cast All The Time it's inevitably causing

touhou fanwork makers are allergic to including games after SA, UFO if you're lucky, to start with, and this is going to make that worse, basically guaranteed. my kingdom for a fangame that decides "no one from 6-12 except reimu and marisa" just as an experiment to see where that goes

If I say so myself, my custom set is rather fun. I plan on getting the art requirement document ready to go sometime soon.

I sure did forget about this account for three months, but in those three months there's been about nine more playtesting sessions. It's been going well! Green received a redesign, and pack collation changed. The set has received numerous revisions already and is currently on iteration 9.

I'm kind of glad I'm not really interested in Duskbloods after watching gameplay of it, because it's another reason to put off getting a Switch 2. It looks like a really inelegant game in a way that Nightreign specifically was a really well-executed shift of a Souls game into a co-op run-based game.

I did my civic duty and voted. toho-vote.info I actually don't remember the first time I voted in this poll, but it was many, many, many years ago. Before machine translation was common, so I cross-referenced everything manually and it took forever. It's so easy to do this now in comparison.

Given the news about Twitch's generative AI bullshit being opt-out, I bet they're kicking themselves that they purged their archives now. All of those VODs, most of which had chat included, even, probably would've been prime material to train shit on and they lost almost all of it. Man.

that sure was 14 hours of noita, like 13 hours of which were (and Still Are) One Run of the game

i had a run of noita last night that didn't last very long. but it was one that had a random emergence of alchemical precursor that formed on its own, that i quickly turned into draught of midas. i experienced a level of greed only talked about in the bible and died when a lantern fell on my head

every now and again someone i was subscribed to on youtube from years ago suddenly comes back and it's almost invariably 'i'm a vtuber now!' and it is with a heavy heart that i must report that all this does invariably is remind me to prune my subscriber list by unsubscribing to them

So, adding this all up now because I'm finally picking up some things to finalize it: Twitch ending its archives has now cost me, personally, $1086.80. Over a thousand dollars.
