If you're in the Northern Hemisphere, about now you might be changing over your wardrobe and getting rid of ratty old sweaters. Don't trash them! Cat shelters can use these. Cats love to nest on anything woollen.

In the Souther Hemisphere, Winter is fast approaching.This is a really good time to donate to an animal shelter if you have the funds to spare. Heating costs to keep animals comfortable make a big difference, and shelters often struggle at this time of year.

RooRoo Day is almost upon us. In less than three weeks people all around the world will unite in performing extra acts of kindness for animals. Do you have a friend or neighbour who isn't well and whose dog could stand a walk? Old sweaters that would be appreciated by your local cat shelter?

RooRoo Day approaches and it's not too early to plan our observance. What about the wild creatures where you live? Have you got a birdbath? Bird feeder? Bee-friendly plants in your garden or windowbox?

RooRoo Day is in a month. Will you be one of the people who join our glorious movement, by simply doing an act of kindness for some animal? Even if you live in the inner city and don't know any animals, there is still wildlife. There are birds. Got a balcony or windowbox? Consider the bees.

RooRoo Day is fast approaching. What about planting some bee friendly plants and setting up a birdbath? Bees and birds need kindness too. And if you'd like to help spread the word, the flyer here is downloadable and prints nicely in colour or b/w. Two per A4 sheet gives a nice size for noticeboards.
