In Ars Magica you can die during character creation. I always thought that was unique to Traveller.

I got an early look at this and have been reading it. I'm new to the game system and it's a bit like diving in head firest without knowing how deep the pool is, but I've been enjoying it so far.

There are some odd art choices in the Ars Magica Definitive Edition. The first pick is a character and the wolf she turns into and the second apparently had a very tough life because he's only 25 Having the pictures of your character templates not match the stats is an odd choice.

We really dig this game but we've only played it with adults. I agree that 10+ may be too young but it very much depends on the kids. Our kids grew up in a gamer family and probably would have gotten it at that age, but not every family is the same.
