I just discovered that terrain layer paint can greatly affect how much the terrain gets lit up by baked lighting. I had no idea it could be so dramatic. In this example, I put a 10 intensity area light directly above surface, and it still looks dark on this layer. #GameDev #IndieDev #Unity3D

Playing around with doing spider webs in #Blender3D. Sphere -> Remove Half -> Remove Faces Leave Edges -> Flatten -> Displacement Modifiers -> Manual Tweaks -> Curve -> Volume -> Mesh. Looks decent. Need to keep geometry minimal. #IndieDev #GameDev

I just realized how important it is to add Reflection Probes when using baked lighting. Especially if metallic objects will be moving around the scene, such as being carried by the player character. Probably need 1 probe per room. Test them out if you haven't before. #Unity3D #IndieDev #GameDev
