I have distinct memories of my sister asking me over lunch if I was going to do the proper pirate voice and tartly telling her that if you AREN'T going use the Robert Newton voice, for what reason would you embark on making an audiobook of Treasure Island in the first place?

I've included an Audible link as this title is far and away my biggest seller on Audible. We stopped publishing with Audible due to the amount of hoops they needed us to jump through for Public Domain titles, and also because their computer just froze one day and stopped taking our submissions.

I say this every time I talk about this one, but it's kind of odd how several chapters divert from the main character and have us follow his much MUCH more interesting younger brother. Who is getting into fist-fights, saving ladies and witnessing the Thunderchild ram down Tripods, to no conclusion.

I still can't believe that after eight years, I'd be publishing my 100th audiobook. Then I remember the alternative and it becomes all to plausible. It's currently out through Authors Republic, so that's places like B&N, the Google store and Overdrive, and I'll put it out on Spotify in the NYear.

Honestly, the more I did this, the more I kind of felt how Dickens and Wilkie were arguing over tone a lot in the background. It's actually pretty funny. Wilkie wanted a crime drama, Dickens kept making it twee and having a laugh. It's pretty interesting.

You are up to date.
