Spider-Man ~ I love seeing all these markings on this thing. I have no idea what they mean. I know that sounds sarcastic but I’m serious, I think it’s interesting…

Here’s a high-res scan of Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask VHS ad. This was a two-part episode, but the VHS presents it as a single uninterrupted 44-minute feature. Also, they opted to use the book cover art instead of a screenshot or cast photo. Guess it was more recognizable.

In case you missed it, and you probably did since nobody watches traditional TV anymore. Rivian released a Ghostbusters commercial featuring Peter Venkman and Slimer to promote a Halloween layout for their electric vehicles.

I prematurely bought Christmas mints cause I just like them. But since I don’t have any Christmas candy bowls out yet I put them in the Dunkin Halloween bucket 👀 I uh, I don’t know what I’m doing in that last pic.

Here’s a high-res scan of Donald’s Scary Tales VHS box from 1990. This VHS cut 30 minutes from 1983’s Disney’s Scary Tales and released under the Walt Disney Classic Cartoon line (vol. 13, of course). They even redrew the cover art changing the gorilla hands to a ghost.

Even though the original Scary Tales is the superior version, the Classic Cartoon line was created as a budget release. SRP for this line was about $15, which was incredibly cheap for a Disney VHS back then. The original 1983 Scary Tales retailed for about $50.

With nearly 300 pages, it covers every aspect of the parade from the past 100 years. Of course the best part are the balloons. Some are full page photos, some are two-page spreads. And some are… just little pictures, but at least they’re here. Spider-Man gets both a full page AND two-page spread

Here’s a high-res scan of a TV Guide cover from 1991 showcasing some new cartoons for the Fall. Interestingly, they use Doug’s concept design here and not the finalized version from the show.

If you weren’t around when the second Jurassic Park movie hit, you probably won’t understand how cool it was seeing this ad at the time. Here’s a high-res scan of a Toys R Us Lost World ad from 1997.

Been going to ComicCon pretty much since it started, but this is the first year I went that I was really into Figuarts. Ended up getting all the exclusives. I’m not a super crazy collector of these, I just get what I like. But these were pretty nice pieces.

Here’s 4 things I saw in a 99 cents store today that I thought were… interesting. An old Simpsons Christmas decoration. A doll for a Marvel superhero I never heard of. A Scoob inflatable. Wakanda Forever stickers. Just thought it was funny how they made stickers for this movie.

Spending this cold, rainy afternoon watching Mario Maker gameplay and flipping through a Nickelodeon Magazine from 1997. Pizza is on the way. 👌🏻

Tales from the Cryptkeeper trade ad (1994). They included “Live from the Crypt” here to push the franchise as a kid-friendly brand. Pretty forgotten today, but Live from the Crypt was an educational book series where the Cryptkeeper interviewed historical figures.

Looking at some of these old Halloween costumes on eBay, and you know what? Beetlejuice totally would wear a shirt with his face and logo on it.

Kinda shocked to see so much Moomintroll stuff. He has like no presence in the US so if you never heard of him, that’s understandable. He’s a storybook character from Finland and is pretty popular in Japan. I remember seeing him on TV when visiting family in Italy as a kid.

I don’t usually buy vinyls but man, I saw this in a new releases window display and I had to get it. A childhood favorite of mine. The presentation is really nice. They even have an update version of that classic cast art…

I had an hour to kill before meeting someone for lunch, so just to amuse myself I tried to find the stupidest item in the M&M store. And I came up with… A whisk with a red M&M on it.
