🧵 Hi, I just want to give an update on how I've been doing, and my current thoughts on everything that's happened so far

so I ask for some patience regarding that. That's all I have to say for now; truthfully, there was still more things I could've added to my doc (I even went back to touch it up slightly) but I decided I did enough, and that trying to properly move on was the best choice.

In the future, I may talk about Gapple dev, and other things Lancey has done more in depth publicly on here when the time is right, but probably not right now? Depends on how things pan out. Thanks for reading through what I had to say again, take care of yourselves

Lastly, I own Poip's design again, I am now calling him "Adjudicator" (thanks @jaduplex.horriblelicense.group for the name) for the time being. His previous name was an inside joke from Sky, so it didn't feel right to continue using it officially, but it's fine to call him that informally for now

Finally, because of everything with Lancey, I've grown disillusioned w/ the idea of holding any grudges where I don't need to. Especially since most of them were because of her. In the next coming days, I will be reaching out to people to make amends, but it might take a bit

All of us still have our own problems, our own chores to attend to, and a lot of us, if not all of us, still go to school like most of you all. D&B's reach is rather minuscule in the grand scheme of things, we just create for fun, and for ourselves really.

This is to say... please don't idolize us, I've never been really comfortable with that, and I know others feel similarly. I appreciate people that admire or respect what I make of course, but at the end of day... I'm just a dude and I'd like to be seen as one.

pay for every single transgression they've ever done to people, so I can't fully support this. Nevertheless, despite not being the main thesis, his point about people blindly idolizing D&B developers and putting them on a pedestal when they don't know them, really resonated w/ me

For the longest time, I've noticed people have had a really inflated view of D&B and its "elites", so to speak. A lot of the people you might look up to on here, are just regular people you'd see walking across the street, and are really not much different from you at all.

and I apologize for that. I was one of a handful of D&B developers that were led to believe that he was a horrible person because of Avery, so I wasn't afraid to hold my tongue about him. I am very sympathetic to his harassment and do not think that should've happened whatsoever.

I also feel bad about him not having a chance to be heard, and definitely think it was important for him to dispel his allegations. However, the timing of this is really insensitive and the continued release of response docs is only detracting from Lancey and co finally having to

I also am endlessly grateful that my closing statement resonated with so many people. It was the section that I was most excited to write about and had the most ideas for, and I always wanted to give meaningful commentary so this situation didn't have to be all doom and gloom

Secondly, I want to address my involvement in T5's recent doc regarding the D&B community. To be frank, I cannot believe that document was published in entirely good faith anymore. But with that being said, I was still wrong for shittalking him in public regardless-

on the fence about it, here's my dilemma: so i would remove all gapple art but, in doing so that leaves a lot room for art by 12th and co to be used instead of art made by uncontroversial artists however, if anyone had their gapple art uploaded and wanted it removed, DM or reply here
