He's the worst kind of monster

Ruth Zakarin@ruthz.bsky.social

It is the most dangerous kind of abuser that threatens to kill their partner, points the gun to their head, and then lowers the gun at the last possible minute. That’s what Trump just did. 1/

More shit Mike Johnson doesn’t know.

Q: What's your reaction to yesterday's purge of senior ICE officials? When is it time for Congress to do some oversight? MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know any of the details of that yet. I just heard about that, literally I was walking in.

The photos I post are almost exclusively shot on black and white film, usually using a large format camera. Every now and then though a picture taken with my cellophone pleases me enough to post it. This was taken in the Bayard Street Parking deck in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Big Red was a mighty tree that was planted in front of Bloomfield High School in 1919. Unfortunately, it had grown ill and had to be taken down. That happened on Thursday when I was out of town. Fortunately, they left a bit of it standing for me to photograph.

Brookside Park in my fair town was taken about two months ago. For those who care about such things it was taken with a Chamonix 45F-2 4x5 view camera on Ilford FP4+ film developed in Pyrocat HD.

Isn't Trump proud of his tariffs? Doesn't he want us to see how much China is paying each ous for all the stuff we buy from them? Why is the "administration" opposed to printing it on each invoice and receipt? Too liberating I suppose?

Toilet -- This was taken in my hotel room on a visit to Boston during the first Reagan Administration. I remember getting down on the floor with my Omega 45D view camera. Taken on Plus-X Pan, probably with a fairly long exposure.

I believe attacks attacks on the media are in my opinion not being properly framed by the media and by activists. Trump wrongly claimed that attacks on him are attacks on his base. I think that's an effective strategy. When they attack the press they are attacking us.

Abandoned Bakelite Factory, Bloomfield, New Jersey, January 8, 2024 As a fan of urban decay, I love the way this abandoned factory looks. Taken with my Wista 4x5, 75 mm Grandagon lens (I think), red filter on 20 year expired Tri-X developed in D23 formula developer.
