Okay #disability BlueSky. That article about gatekeeping who can use a cane has pissed me off. Sooooo I want to see all of your amazing canes! All sizes all shape all colors! I'll start with my wooden derby and my Death Star knob cane. #cane #ableism #accessibility #a11y

Fuck this entire article. Does a cane help you? Use it! Fuck anyone who says otherwise. Your quality if life shouldn't be determined by anyone else's definition of "disabled enough" Here have some cool looking canes!

Britain’s tiny gaggle of hooting mad elite cranks, who all know each other and relentlessly repeat each other’s idiotic bullshit, are of course not “victims of social contagion”.

Some #bonsai in training (I'm in training, not the trees). Young Japanese maples transplanted from seedlings spring 2025. Young big leaf maples (I thought they were vine maples, I was wrong) also transplanted 2025. The big leaf maples are purely experimental at this point. Open to advice!

The big leaf maples are basically just material for me to play with branching, pruning etc. I don't expect them to be good bonsai. As you can see I already chopped some!

And the cherry plums, golden acacia and I don't know what the back two on the shelf are yet. They are suckers from whatever root stock my cherry plums were grafted on.

I've got some decisions to make with these year 2 #bonsai projects in the spring. These are cherry plums. I feel like I let them thicken too much. But either way I feel like major chopping is in order. I'm a beginner, suggestions welcome!

I'm not sure I'm entirely on board with Bo Bichette on the roster. I hope he has a monster series. But he has not played in over 45 days. But, Bo is taking all the risk, he needs a contract next year. I predict either a total disaster or he hits 2 bombs and turns multiple double plays. #BlueJays

I opened that site that shall not be named. I was greeted by two "trending news" items. One stated the blue jays lost in 6 games. The other stated the blue jays lost in 7 games. Except game 7 is currently happening. Right now. As you probably guessed. Summarized by that sites AI.

My Vine and Japanese Maple bonsai transplants in year 0. I had issues with mildew. One JM *just pushed* new leaves since transplanting. 3/3 JM and 4/5 VM still alive. One of the VMs didn't grow *at all* after transplant, but also did not die. I hope it comes back next spring. #bonsai

If I have the math right.... A #bluejays win and a #NYY loss and the Blue Jays clinch the AL pennant. Mariners cannot catch the Blue Jays as the Jays have the tie breaker. Yankees cannot clinch today.

This looks seriously badass. I wish I had the fingers to play a game like this.

I planted some Golden Mimosa seeds back in Sept 2023 -- I had written them off. I moved them to the bottom of the greenhouse as I didn't expect them to sprout. I didn't properly stratify them. They were in 2.5x2.5x3" pots since. They didn't get direct water, only runoff. I thought it was a weed.

Time to go out foraging for vine maple saplings to grow into bonsai. Gonna try along the river this morning. Might also grab a few cuttings, but focused mostly on finding saplings.

Vine maples, potted and ready to grow! (This was early in the morning, they are under an overhang, so only get direct sunlight in very early morning)

I went WAY outside my comfort zone today and I presented awards to some of my teammates, in the form of a fake game show. I was the host. People seemed to enjoy it. Feels good to push your own boundaries once and awhile. Now I'm gonna go back into my introverted hole and recharge for awhile.

If you think you're being nice by saving all of your questions for the software engineer in your family until the day after Christmas. You're not. We also don't know more than you about how your new gadget works. We just read instructions, use google and actually read error messages. You can too!
