Yesterday was the first time I have felt helpless and unable to protect my child and it is one of the most sickening, terrifying, and disgusting things to feel. I'm really fucking shook by this and filled with grief for the affected families.

When I got a text from my mom saying there was a school shooting at an elementary school in Bend I almost dropped to my knees in panic and terror. It wasn't my kids school, but that doesn't matter. Knowing that it's happening at a different one kills your soul. I haven't stopped crying/hugging.
