My 2 favourite books are "The Last Valley" by Martin Windrow and "A Savage War of Peace: Algeria 1954-1962 by Alistair Horne. Keen interest in history of Northern Ireland during the Troubles, Falklands war and the battle of Rourke's Drift.

The same arguments used by the French in Algeria and the Americans at Abu Ghraib to justify torture and crimes against humanity, being recycled to justify a genocide. The Israeli military will bear responsibility for the failure and eventual collapse of the State of Israel.

You know what tanks can't soak up? 155mm artillery. More 155mm artillery please.

Janne M. Korhonen@jmkorhonen.fi

In fact tanks have regularly soaked up even 50 drones. And technology marches on: Ukrainians say that Russian Arena active protection system makes tanks almost drone proof for as long as the system has charges left. Current versions carry 12, and can be overwhelmed, but no doubt R&D is ongoing.

It has to be said that reservist snipers and marksmen vary in their skills and not everyone is Simo Häyhä reborn. On the other hand, some do spend more time and effort in training than almost any military snipers for whom it's just a job :D.
