Before Columbus or even Constantine, Christianity was thriving in places like Syria, Egypt, and North Africa. Jesus isn’t a conqueror or a colonialist. He never agreed to be a mascot for the West.

If you hear a lot of screaming into the void tonight, it's just British Columbians who saw beyond the rhetoric and knew what was at stake being utterly dismayed that hate, ignorance and fear decided our election tonight. The next four years are going to be a shit show.

If you're going to tell me it's Eby's fault, it wasn't. Could the timing have been better? Yes, but when the NDP had only a one seat majority & the Cons are busy trying to repeal DRIPA & the human rights code & ban land acknowledgements, the need for an election was clear.

It's not like Doerksen is likely going to be premier for long, his own party's constitution says the interim leader can't run in their leadership race and we know what kind of horror show they voted for a few months ago. How anyone could vote for them is beyond me.

Fourteen of us LGBTQ+ folks gathered tonight to experience God together. This contemplative approach to the Divine can be so life-giving, and I'm always grateful for my time with the group on Monday nights.

My heart is still so full, even 2-1/2 hours after the fact. Tonight's contemplative spirituality group for LGBTQ+ people and our allies was really meaningful. 14 of us gathered, from all over Canada and the US, to experience the Divine together.

Just call God “she” or “her” or “mother” and you will find out very quickly how many Christians refuse to see God’s image in women. As if calling God by a feminine pronoun is demeaning to God rather than naming part of who God is. This is the worship of patriarchy.

If our Christianity causes the abused to be ignored, the stranger to be unwelcome, kids to go hungry, the sick to go without healthcare, and our planet to be disregarded all while billionaires get richer, we've profoundly misunderstood the most basic elements of Jesus' teachings.

I wrote this poem a few years ago for a friend who was in a dark time personally. I've been thinking about it since the shooting in Tumbler Ridge because I've needed this reminder that there are sparks of light and hope. May it be so for all of us. poemingout.wordpress.com/2023/01/21/f...

Good morning, beloved. Our humanity is worth protecting. In a world that often seeks to starve the soul, make sure to slow down and nourish it. Today is a great day to overcome evil with good.

Hell is not about eternal conscious torment. It is visited upon us and our neighbors daily. And there is deliverance from these hellscapes. Today is the day of salvation. Rest in peace, Renee Good. Repent and believe. #TheologizinBigger

Eighteen of us gathered tonight in our Monday night queer contemplative spirituality group. We come from all over the US and Canada, from many backgrounds. We come as we are; experience God together through music, readings and the words of our friends; and see what happens.

A categorization I didn't know I needed, until I read it!

Today a friend and I had lunch and discovered the true form of liquid categorisation. Join me on a journey of stupidity.

What a beautiful evening... I'm always grateful for our Monday night contemplative spirituality group for LGBTQ+ people and our allies. We come as we are, experience God, and see what happens. Tonight, 12 people gathered from all over the US and Canada, including one newcomer.

Hey, neighbors. If you can do so without difficulty, please consider helping a very good-hearted and deserving mutual acquaintance of mine to continue feeding herself and her children. I've given what small help I can, but they're still a few hundred shy of their goal. gofund.me/99dd1c13b

Such a lovely night tonight! We always use a lyric video for the song when we can go make it more accessible, but I totally recommend watching the official video for Window which is so powerful youtu.be/97oZcQr6beI?...

Tonight's contemplative spirituality group for queer folks & allies was lovely. We had a slightly larger group than usual - 18 people, from all over the US & Canada, including 2 new friends. As always, we were invited to bring our whole selves and experience the Divine together.

One of the greatest deceptions of our time is the false narrative that we should somehow be more concerned about how a poor person uses the welfare system than we are about the ultra wealthy swaying the highest positions or power in our country to their favor.

Good morning, beloved. Never use your thoughts & prayers as substitutes for your commitment & action. Today is a great day to overcome evil with good.
