I used to want to be an artist on video games so bad. I gave up on that dream a while ago.But days like today are a sad realization that it was for the best.I could be in an industry that doesnt care about its workers. It doesnt want to share fresh and unique perspectives. It cares only about profit.

Instead of firing the higher ups making these big decisions. We fire the developers that did the best they could with what they had. Folks that make a percentage of the CEOs. Everything is about profit.Makes sense. What doesnt is how much the games today cost to make.Sounds like a management issue 🤔

I think the internet has ruined a lot. #1 critical thinking. But also making videogames an always online experience has started to make a mess of the industry. These publishers want players to live in these games and it has become a trend that is beginning to fail and they are now bailing on.

There are people i work with that are happy bioware was shut down. To me that shows their character and their lack of respect for developers. That is not why their games were lacking. It was the higher ups at EA making bioware a love service studio and constantly pulling the rug on them.

Im so sickened by the AAA video game industry. Not taking risks. Not making something fresh and unique. Just so the CEOs can get richer and profit off ai generated sports games.

Resident Evil was beautifully shot. The monsters were a lot of fun. But the lack of any kind of story made it like what's the point. It felt almost very cartoonish. 3/5 I hate being that cynical guy as I get older. But narrative is becoming something that is make it or break it for me.

Just finished Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight. Damn what a blast, just a great ass game. An amazing compendium of everything batman. Chapter 5 had me so geeked. Well done to everyone involved!

games have been huge success. thats why we're firing every one who makes games. also we are going to make it so players can no longer buy games

Top 10 Favorite Films, off the top of my head. (One per director) Alien Mad Max Fury Road The Mummy (1999) Evil Dead 2 Hereditary Hot Fuzz Paranorman Godzilla Minus One Zodiac Pacific Rim

I loved the vibe of the beginning feeling like Se7en and silence of the lambs. I wish that would have been the whole game. Puzzles could have been way more unique that way.
