I knew an absolutely wonderful guy once. He collected all of these trolleys because he believed in a streetcar system that is, objectively, better. His collection got destroyed. He's gone. Most of the trolleys are too. That's the way it goes. That's the way it all goes.

The night shots where illuminated interiors stand out against a black sky are haunting. Almost literally haunted, as if remnants of the past still live in the long unused trolleys, a half-life of memory and history, ghosts of what they once were. Appropriate images for Halloween's month.
