As we passed this building, @jesshaskins.bsky.social remarked, “I think a level designer lives here.”
The QotD is fun for me because sometimes a line like this will turn up and I won't remember where it's from. And then I look it up and it's some bit of completely optional goofiness that has nothing to do with completing the game, it's just in there to establish mood and character.
Quote of The Day from Return to Monkey Island: “(pathetically weak version of primal scream therapy scream)AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Psyched to have my first byline on Design Room! This article was a lot of fun to write, based a group interview with @rodkin.online @jaredej.bsky.social @thatdave.bsky.social @sasquatchers.wtf and Dave Bogan (who I don't think is on Bluesky).
Almost 20 years after Sam & Max Season One's release, six Telltale team members look back on the time they made a group of Secret Service agents dance the can-can.

I’ve been dwelling on this for a couple of minutes now, and I think, if @theonion.com can do market manipulation at will… we might not be as bad off as I thought.

This is an insane solution. And needs to happen immediately. VA legislature should retire the whole state Supreme Court and appoint a new set of judges who will uphold the vote of the people.
We don't ordinarily publish posts at [checks watch] 8:51 PM on a Friday night, but state constitutional law expert Quinn @yeargain.bsky.social has an outside-the-box idea for reversing the VA Supreme Court that is very much worth taking seriously: Dems can simply lower the retirement age.
Congrats to @theonion.com, now do whitehouse dot gov next.

Yep. Mimicry is an important skill for writers in my business, and it's fun, it's like acting for writers. And you can't leave it to AI - if you're telling a story in someone else's IP, you've got to get yourself into the mindset in order to do anything new. It goes far beyond the feel of the text.
No, this isn't it. I did years of consulting and marketing and writing everything from financial brochures to sports newsletters in client-specified voice, and was so good at it that I made a six-figure salary entirely from word of mouth. An "AI" isn't going to do any of that better than I did.
