Tonight we tested a rough layout for a trench #warhammer 40k game board and it worked super well. I am SO EXCITED to start building the real thing!

When the new ruined thunderhawk comes out I really want to play a black hawk down style mission. Thunderdawk is in the defender deployment and the attack has to get to it, complete an action to recover something, then extract via their deployment board edge. I think it'd be a lot of fun!

Little Sunday hobby time. Making some modular firing steps for my tench project. I had a batch of 3d printed ladders fail, but there's enough of them to use to detail up the steps!

Work in Progress for my Living Saint kitbash. I wanted something that gave more biblically accurate angel vibes, so opted for 2 pairs of DE Scourge wings. Also replaced the scroll for a ruined statue to give her about the same height but a MUCH more stable connection to the base.

I've been in the #Warhammer hobby for more than 20 years now and by far my favourite thing About doing it for that long is diving into my enormous bits box for an obscure kitbash. Looking at a model and thinking "I know JUST the bit for that" is so satisfying 😊

All of my late night purchases arrived together, despite being from different vendors 😅 The pile of shame grows. . .

Another couple games of Spearhead this weekend. Got to take my Stormcast and Nighthaunt out for a spin, winning both games. I'm definitely going to paint up my Bretonnia/Cities of Sigmar Spearhead next!

Another game of Spearhead last night. Super close until the last moments. I spent the entire game as the underdog, but managed to pull out a 19/16 win. My Lord Veritant was the MVP, tanking combats from 5 different units and surviving with 1 wound to score the clutch final points. LOVE this game!

Everything I've painted so far in 2026! 76 minis/terrain pieces, and 1890 points worth of models. Should definitely be on track to beat my 106 minis painted in 2025!

Got the chance to play a game of 40k on a fully finished board with two fully painted armies this weekend 😍 I got absolutely annihilated, but at least it looked pretty 😅

Another concept piece for a potential trench board. The snowy version felt too desaturated so I wanted a grasslands version. I think I prefer it but I only had a custom green blend to hand which wasn't as green as I'd have liked.

I've fully gone off ultramatt varnish. I find it sucks the life out of the colors too much and makes my minis look a little sad and flat. Going to experiment with some regular matt varnishes to try and get a little bit of that shine and color vibrancy back.
